Hello blog readers!
Well, my first year-long stint as a TOS Crew reviewer has come to an end. I have to say, it has been one of the most wonderful and fulfilling things I have done! I got to try SO MANY new and wonderful things!
It's been lots of fun to try all of these products and services with my family, and I have really enjoyed sharing my opinions with all of you. I hope you have enjoyed reading about them as much as I have enjoyed writing about them!
It wasn't easy, but I have chosen my Top Ten Products for 2009. They are in no particular order.
THE BEST!!!
Flying Creatures of the 5th Day
ALEKS is a web-based math program that corrects you child's work as he or she goes along. Progress is shown as the pie chart fills up. My son completed an entire year's worth of work in two month's becausehe was so motivated by ALEKS's unique program.
ONE YEAR ADVENTURE NOVEL is a fantastic creative writing program that will show your child, step by step, how to write an entire adventure novel in just one year!
CRAYOLA ART STUDIO is like Microsoft Paint on steroids. It's just too cool for words, you'll have to check it out for yourself.
FRIENDLY CHEMISTRY is a program that's not pretty, but it makes chemistry so simple; I loved it! A diamond in the rough, that I hope really catches on in the near future!
MATH MAMMOTH makes doing math simple. Just print out the pages you need and you're good to go. No more misplacing books and you can print each page as many times as necessary for a child who needs practice, or even other kids in the family. Sorry, you still might have to search for a pencil.
FLYING CREATURES OF THE FIFTH DAY from Apologia. This book is all about birds, bats, flying insects and more. Very easy to read, and lots of fun ideas for your budding scientist.
THE MISSING LINK: FOUND is an exciting adventure novel written by a homeschool girl. It's all about a family who believes in a young earth and the trials they go through as they try to discover the truth about the discovery of the so-called missing link.
TIMES TALES is just the way coolest way to teach your kids the upper level times tables. Period.
LATINA CHRISTIANA is an easy to use program that will help you to teach your child Latin. You'll learn it too! :)
SPELLQUIZZER is an easy to use computer program that will help your child learn to spell. My kids love it!!!
So there you have it! My Top 10! I must admit, though, there are lots of others that almost made the cut. I pretty much loved everything I got. It was a great year!
