Oct. 11, 2006 - Numbers and Letters...
That's what I'm doing every day with my 5 yo. I'll never understand why the English language is so strange. LOL Why do we say "see" for the letter "C", but it sounds "k"... that's what my son wants to know. Good question I say.
I've been loving some of the time I have had lately for scrapbooking. It's been fun to get going again. I've found that challenges from the website I have been visiting has made a huge difference. It has definately given me some "pushes" in a good direction. Of course I love scrapping my little ones!

Oct. 5, 2006 - Mom's Things
In the few spare moments I get around here, with a housefull of kiddo's. I love to scrap and stamp. It's my outlet for so many things. Of course my favorite subjects are my children. Recently I happened into a new scrap group that has really challenged me, and that was good considering I am really behind and have abbout 2000 pics to scrap.
Here is a recent LO.

I'm trying to encourage my daughter's to scrap, but so far, I haven't gotten a lot of interest. LOL Maybe one day.

Sep. 26, 2006 - Time Goes By....
way too quickly. School is going well for us. Our newest addition is changing and growing day by day. I can't believe she is almost 2 months old.
I've been trying to get myself back into the swing of things with a new baby. My scrapbooking and stamping has suffered badly over the summer, so I really need to get caught up. I love scrapbooking for my kiddo's. I'm glad there is some way to chart their life, so they never forget and can share it with their families some day.
I found a cool website that is helping me get my act together and motivate me. If any of you scrap you might want to check it out, they are beginning a cool new "challenge". Here's the link: http://www.theschoolofscrap.com/ I think you would enjoy the site if you are a lover of all things scrappy!
I'm loving this fall weather, it was actually cold enough this morning to turn on the heat and enjoy a cup of coffee. Coffee is a passion of mine, but I don't drink much during the summer!
Well, guess that is all till next time!

Sep. 8, 2006 - Fall is in the air...
well not really here in the South! It is still way too hot for me. I'm longing for those days it is just in the 70's. I love fall. I always have loved fall, the colors, the holidays, school beginning.
I'm looking forward to going to the Pumpkin Patch with the kids. It's always sooo much fun. I have pictures of all of my kids with a pumpkin almost every year. I also love the festivals and fairs that come with fall, all the home made goods and crafts. I just love the cool nights that are perfect for a sweater, but not cold!
School is in full swing and so far so good. We are getting a lot accomplished with my K5 guy. His little brother is trying too, his favorite numbers are apparantly 2 and 5 as he says it all the time! LOL I try to get school in while Baby Girl is napping! Of course that means no more naps for mom, :)
I've got to come up with some new and interesting assignments for my older ones. I think I am going to assign a project that will take most of the semester. I want her to pick a "time" in history and research all about it. Make some clothes, and all kinds of things from that era. Hope she will like it!
Well, guess that is all for now!

Aug. 26, 2006 - I saw this at my friends blog and loved it!!!!
Dr. Seuss for nursing moms that was printed in this months Mothering
magazine. Author unknown
----------------------------------------------------------
Would you nurse her in the park?
Would you nurse him in the dark?
Would you nurse him with a Boppy?
And when your ***** are feeling floppy?
I would nurse him in the park,
I would nurse her in the dark.
I'd nurse with or without a Boppy.
Floppy ***** will never stop me.
Can you nurse with your seat belt on?
Can you nurse from dusk till dawn?
Though she may pinch me, bite me, pull,
I will nurse her `till she's full!
Can you nurse and make some soup?
Can you nurse and feed the group?
It makes her healthy strong and smart,
Mommy's milk is the best start!
Would you nurse him at the game?
Would you nurse her in the rain?
In front of those who dare complain?
I would nurse him at the game.
I would nurse her in the rain.
As for those who protest lactation,
I have the perfect explanation.
Mommy's milk is tailor made
It's the perfect food, you need no aid.
Some may scoff and some may wriggle,
Avert their eyes or even giggle.
To those who can be cruel and rude,
Remind them breast's the perfect food!
I would never scoff or giggle,
Roll my eyes or even wiggle!
I would not be so crass or crude,
I KNOW that this milk's the perfect food!
We make the amount we need
The perfect temp for every feed.
There's no compare to milk from breast-
The perfect food, above the rest.
Those nursing smiles are oh so sweet,
Mommy's milk is such a treat.
Human milk just can't be beat.
I will nurse, in any case,
On the street or in your face.
I will not let my baby cry,
I'll meet her needs, I'll always try.
It's not about what's good for you,
It's best for babies, through and through.
I will nurse her in my home,
I will nurse her when I roam.
Leave me be lads and ma'am.
I will nurse her, Mom I am:)

Aug. 22, 2006 - The Days of My Life...
are spent feeding a baby! LOL. Our new little girl is such a blessing. Her two brother's 2 and 5 are LOVING the new doll. They want to touch her and kiss her and hold her all the time. The rest of the kiddo's love her too. I do think her 12 yo sister is thrilled to have a baby girl to help dote over instead of just two wild little boys.
We are getting started at with school next week! My 5 yo is driving me crazy, so we are going to spend some time with his new books. He wants to get going so bad. He has mastered all of his upper case alphabet letters, so he thinks he can do it all now! :)
Guess that's all for now! God Bless!

Aug. 7, 2006 - Wow, how time flies...
Baby Cayla will be here on Wednesday. I can't believe time has gone so quickly, but then again, has seemed to drag on forever. Strange how that happens. Wednesday morning EARLY we will be arriving at the hospital to deliver our newest blessing.
School is approaching even faster. All the curriculum has been ordered and most of it has arrived. My K5 little guy is so excited.... he just keeps looking at the box! He's fun. I'm enlisting his older sister to help with him this year, expecially since I'll have a new baby and a 2 yo to take care of.
Well, I don't have a lot so say, but do have a LOT to do, so I'll be back in a day or two with details of Cayla. :)

Jul. 19, 2006 - So, I'm not good at consistancy... lol
It's been a few days. But a busy few days, if that helps!
We are three weeks away from the new babies arrival. I have a million things to do, and am so tired I don't want to do anything. And I have to get my curriculum ordered! I know WHAT, I'm getting, just got to find the money to do it all! Age old story, huh?
Dh and I went to the Dr. yesterday and had the 4D sonogram. It is so neat to see our sweet little face before she is acutally here. Bless her heart, she has cheeks the size of apples... already! :) Just can't wait to hold this little blessing in my arms. We took our 5 yo boy with us yesterday, he was so funny, talking about his new sister, how he will take care of her. I hope he loves her as much as he does his little brother. I also hope little brother will love her! LOL... I keep thinking of stories of children dragging their siblings to the front door and saying "go". But I think he will be fine.
Oh well, guess that is all that is on my mind today!

Jul. 13, 2006 - New at this...
Blogging is a new thing for me, tried it once before and kept forgetting to actually DO it! But it's time to try again.
Summer is slowly winding down, at least for me. We will be welcoming baby number seven into our arms in August. Plans are for this to be the caboose of the family. But there is much excitement planning for her arrival. The youngest of the clan are little boys, so this will be a welcomed change for mom! I love all the pink! I have to admit though, and my husband thought I was crazy, when they said it would be a girl that it was kind of bittersweet, as I have surely loved my little boys!
It's time to get all my curriculum for next year ordered and in too. I have decided what we will be using, pretty much the same thing, but I hope to expand the types of things we do this year. All the older children use Alpha Omega, but I want to do even more to help them develop their own interests, so we will see where that goes. For my little guys, we will use Christian Liberty Press, I love their stuff for the young!
Well, guess that's a good enough beginning!
