Homeschooling Follows You Everywhere
Posted in Thoughts 2 Ponder
Just the other day my husband and I went to a very nice dinner held at your home church and a woman ran into me asking if she could get together with me regarding homeschooling. She said she had heard about me several times and was glad to finally meet me, I felt like a celebrity or something, too funny. I gave her my phone number and walked away thinking how funny that is that I am still known for homeschooling.
I have been out of this circle for about three years. and had just recently began praying about teaching again. I felt like such a piece of my life has been missing. I have begged my oldest son to allow me to homeschool his oldest boy of 10 years, and has reluctantly chatted with me about this subject. About a month ago my youngest son's boss called me and said they wanted to know if I would be interested in homeschooling their oldest boy of 10 years, as they are not happy with his academics in his present situation in public school nor did they appreciate the lack of care and follow up they were receiving from his teacher and school system in general. Then, at church last Sunday, a family came up to me and said they had herd I might be teaching again next school year and would be interested in an English class for their oldest daughter of twelve years. Now mind you, i had not mentioned anything about teaching again to anyone except my husband, who promised to keep it hush hush until I heard from the Lord. So needless to say, I am beginning to think God is answering me through others that have no idea what I praying about. What gets me most, is how homeschooling follows you around like a new puppy on a warm summer's day.
Homeschooling definitely becomes part of your life. It might even mingle its way into your very being. One day you think your days of homeschooling are through, and the next God has something new in store for you.

A New Beginning
Good evening everyone!
This is the beginning of a new
blog with homeschoolblogger and I am very ecxcited to get started. I
accidentally fell upon this site while reading a gal's post in a
writing group I am a member of. I visited some of your sites, and fell
in love with the topics, the ease of navigating and of course with all
of you fellow homeschoolers.
I will admit right off the bat.
I have homeschooled my children as well as many others ranging in age
from three to adult for the past seventeen years, but I no longer
homeschool officially. I do have the wonderful opportunity of teaching
my grandchildren what I know and what's new to learn. I see my own
children working with their niece and nephew and it thrills my heart to
see they have each become little teachers themselves in various ways.
Now to the nitty-gritty of my blogs. Monthly I will be including a
craft idea and a recipe to try, enjoy and share. Tips and tidbits on
what homeschooling taught me, and hopefully some flavorful words of
encouragement, food for thought and words from our Lord Himself.
I have a real heart for children, teenagers and women at large, so
often I will gear my writings to these areas. I welcome questions,
prayer requests and new freindships and will answer back in a timely
manner.
I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you and pray God's most
immense blessing on you and your family. May you enjoy the awesome
privilege of teaching your children, petitioning the Lord on their
behalf and becoming more and more like Jesus every day through
this wonderful homeschooling journey.
Pslam 150:1
Let everything that hath breath, PRAISE THE LORD!
