Well, at least that is what I am finding out.  Some days, balance is achieved and other days I fail miserably.  I am working on getting a routine and cleaning schedule drawn up.  I need to find some organization as well. 

Homeschooling is going great.  Leesha learned how to tie her shoes on Thursday!  WOOHOOO!  This has been something that we have worked on for about a year on and off.  She would just get so frustrated with it.  That in the end, I would just focus her attention on other things for a while to ease that frustration.   She finally got it and she was off tying everything in the house!   When Daddy came home, she had to tie everything for him.  She was so proud.  

Teaching reading has been quite the challenge but I think we have finally figured out something that is working for us.  She is doing so much better with sounding out words and everything.  That lightbulb clicked just this past week. 

I just have to say how much joy I get when watching her discover new things and the sense of accomplishment and pride I feel when she gets so excited about learning something like tying your shoes.   My little girl beamed for the next several days that she could finally tie her own shoes.  I can't wait to hear her read her first story and I pray that she keeps the love of reading all throughout her life.  She told her Sunday School teacher a couple weeks ago that she hated reading because it is so hard.  I just wanted to cry.   I hope that changes once she gains more conifidence in herself.
