Mothers Day Painting
Posted in Moms Memories
My daughters surprised me this Mothers Day! My eldest bought me a very pretty ring that says "MOM" with a heart in the middle and some roses in a vase and took us out for all you can eat at Pizza Hutt. My younger daughter painted this lovely picture of a pansy. We also visited both grandmothers. I will post a picture of my ring when I get the chance to take a picture of my hand!

Gorgeous painting! (you know I LUV purple pansies lol) What talented and generous kids you have :) Our first year of hsing I bought the Thomas Kinkade art DVDs set to teach art, but it just didn't work out for my kids (esp boys). Do you use a curricula or just teach at the time they want to do something?
p.s nice entry for the Mother's Day contest at my blog, I think I'll wait for more entries today and someone will pick a winner this afternoon.

Don't you just love when our children create such precious things like this. My DD made me a really cute anniversary card last month. I loved it.

It sounds like you had the perfect Mother's Day! I love the picture...she is so talented...I love flowers, but the green background is pretty, too.
Good news about your candidate. Isn't it great to see someone who is running for office not be such a phony. I recently saw a candidate for a Nov. election at a social function, I just felt like everything was so put on....when they roll up their sleeves and help do some real work, well, it does give you a view of their true side.
