The Back 2 School Blast!

Posted in Homeschooling Carnivals Webrings Blogrolls

Hey!
It's time once again for the Back to School Blast.

You see one of the neat things about the Back to School Blast is that everything is ONLINE. Cindy builds a private, exclusive Membership Site that includes everything from the BTSB in one place--it has audios (from all of the sessions and from the bonus gifts that her speakers give to us), ebooks, complete unit study guides, articles, printable notebooking pages, cookbooks, on and on. I can't believe all of the things that we receive for only $29.95. It is truly amazing!

B2SB

The audios are recorded live today and tomorrow.  You are welcome to attend for free.

If you are reading this post long after Aug. 7th and 8th, you can still purchase a ticket and listen to all of the super audios!

Have a Happy Day!
See You at the Back 2 School Blast!

UPDATE!!!! Christian Homeschooling Moms Online Webring

Posted in Homeschooling Carnivals Webrings Blogrolls

For those members who are having trouble with the CHMORING navcode not showing up, and those of you who have been affected by the recent changes on HSB, you must use the html code show below instead of the SSNB javascript.  Highlight the code then copy and paste where you would like it on your homepage or template.  If you have created a webring page just for navbars, this is permitted also.

UPDATE!!!!  If you had previously tried to insert the CHMO Webring Navbar Code  and had problems with it showing up correctly on this page, OR on your own blog, DON'T FRET!!!   You were NOT the problem.  The code did not save correctly in the post....THEREFORE  I had to add a download link to make the code available for you to save on your own desktop in a text file:
CHMO NAVBAR HTML CODE FOR HSB BLOGS

You can "right click" and "save" it to your descktop OR "click" on it and the text will open up in a new browser window for you.  From there, you can copy and paste it to your own template.

In HSB, your template area, paste the code at the bottom of you template,
just below the closing tags. Some of you may need to insert the code just above
the tag. You may need work with it and preview to where it looks good
on your page. I highly reccommend near the bottom though so that you don't
cause your side bar to become grossly deformed!!!
After you paste the code in the appropriate place, look at the code and locate the four
instances where you see:

;id=79;hub"
;id=79;random"
;id=79;prev"
;id=79;next"

You must replace the number 79 with your site id that you were assign when you
submitted your site to the webring.

Here are some examples of where to paste the code on your template....

Example 2.

Shared the results of this quiz on her site and I thought is was so nifty that I would share it here on my blog as well!
Mothering Style Quiz

According to the quiz: my type is
: infp  —The “Tuned In” Mother

“Inside our children, I believe, is a truth that tells them what’s best for them. I am always listening for that truth.”

  • Aware, astute, and understanding, the INFP mother is sensitive to her child’s needs, feelings, and perceptions. By observing and listening to the cues of the whole child, she is “tuned in” and naturally develops an intuitive feel for what he or she needs. Responsive and helpful as well, she tends patiently to those needs as they arise.
  • The INFP mother is comfortable letting her children follow their own course of development and make their own choices. She offers encouragement and uses her insights to head off trouble and difficult issues.
  • The INFP mother takes vicarious pleasure giving her children good experiences and watching them enjoy childhood. She’s happiest creating pleasant, memorable times for the whole family.
