Thankful Thursday 2

Posted in Gratitude

I've been feeling a little overwhelmed and discouraged of late, so I thought I'd combat it with a dose of gratitude. Here are some things I am thankful for today:

- The sun is shining and it is actually warm outside.  The grass is turning a beautiful shade of emerald and the trees are beginning to bud.  Our daffodils and hyacinth are in full bloom and the hyacinth smell heavenly.

- DS continues to do very well with his EI preschool (early intervention) twice a week.  While he is at school, DD and I get to spend time together.

- Celebrating two 4th birthdays and our 15th wedding anniversary all within 2 weeks of each other.  Besides, they are genuinely legitimate reasons to have chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream!

- The kitchen is functionally complete!  All the cabinets and countertops are installed and working.  I have a pantry with food and supplies in my kitchen and 1/3 more cabinet space for everything else.  All that remains is paint on the walls, a tile backsplash above the sink & stove, and baseboards and trim.

- My DH is going on a two-week mission trip this summer and all of the financial support he needed has come in.  Besides the incredible blessing that is, it is also another confirmation that this trip is indeed God's plan for him this summer.

- Some health issues we have been dealing with in our family are beginning to be understood, and hope for a healthy future is no longer completely out of reach.  We need to make several lifestyle changes, but solutions no longer elude us.

These are some things I am thankful for today.  I hope they are encouraging to you also.
