I learned something this week. I learned that it didn't matter if we were at the 4th largest mall in America, 6 hours is way too long to be there! My dh had a business trip out of town to Houston and we went along for the ride! Across from the office was the Galleria Mall. My ds and I spent the next 6 hours walking and looking! I didn't know there were that many shoe stores out there! I will say my ds and I had fun watching the ice skaters. Neither one of us had ever been near an ice skate rink and here was one in the middle of the mall! (no, we didn't try!) We also spent at least an hour watching a water fountain while my ds tried to figure out how it was engineered to do the patterns it did! We also actually went to a book store and each picked out a book to read. His was a Star Wars book, what a surprise! We spent the last hour there just sitting and talking. We talked about why people would want to wear their hair that way, and what did you think of their clothes. We talked about spending your money on foolish things and laughed that it would be fun to have an R2D2 Mr. Potato Head! Was it worth it! You bet! As the teen years are fast approaching I will take any time given to talk!

 On the way home, with Dad driving we did Madlibs! I discovered that boys will be boys no matter the age! They both seemed to come up with the same strange sounds to fill in the blanks! Would I go again? You bet! Maybe next time we'll make it to the other part of the mall across the street that we didn't know about until we were leaving!
