This is something we don't have a problem with, staying in is our challenge! I think because we have one son I try to get him with other kids as much as possible. The other is that I just like to be with people also!! This year our local group is offering a lot of opportunities that are helping us out! Ds will be in a science co-op, a communications class and a fine arts class. We will also go on field trips and participate in the Park/Rec day. This year we will be incorporating a program I came up with to teach our ds and us, his parents how to give to others. We call it "21 Days of Blessings". We used to just do it at Christmas time but this year I want to do it at least quarterly. It is a program of scheduled time and things to bless people by. We will also be doing service through our church. Our ds likes helping with the outreach program. Like I said earlier, I have to be careful not to overschedule our time out of our home. This year I am trying very hard to commit to Tuesday and Thursday being at home days. Ds needs his down time and I am learning I like it also. So when you read all these posts about what everyone is doing, take care! Don't panic and say am I doing enough! Make sure you pray about anything new you want to add into your schedule and finally ask your dh what he thinks! Sometimes looking in on my calendar, like my dh does for me, really can help prioritize what you are doing! Be Blessed! |
