Now that we are in our 2nd year of homeschooling I've been thinking of how to incorporate more life skills into my son's weekly schedule.  I often have to keep showing him how to complete his chores because being an Aspie he often needs guidance.  Like him I know many children with special nee.ds relies on easy step by step guides to do things like this so they won't get overwhelmed.

Trigger Memory Systems had just what we needed.  These ladies are moms themselves and know first hand how a step by step system is beneficial to kids.  They have created a Clean N Flip chore system.  They are a set of really neat and reusable flip charts.  Here is what they have to offer.

These Clean N' Flip charts walks your child easily through cleaning his or her bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen, and the living room in a fun and easy way.  They can even learn the right way to do their laundry!  You can easily adapt it to your child's age or ability so that it will be at the level they can handle.  It includes a note to you the parent as well as pictures with each step by step guide for them to follow.  This will help the kids to not only learn more responsibility, but it will help them with organizational skills.

The cost for the Bedroom Cleaning for Kids and Laundry for Kids are $7.95 each.  The Zone Cleaning for Kids is $17.95.   You can save even more by ordering the whole set for only $29.95.

Trigger Memory Systems also has a neat way for kids to learn those hard multiplication facts using Times Tales

Times Tales helps your child remember their multiplication facts through little short stories and number pictures.  My son loved this and caught on very quickly.  He already knew the easy fact families like 1's, 2's, 5's,10's, and 11's.  He learned his 3's from watching the old Schoolhouse Multiplication Rock videos.  Times Tales helped him learn the upper multiplication facts he was struggling to recall from memory.

The price for the Times Tales is $29.95.  It even comes with a bonus set of Division flashcards.  If you are having difficulty teaching your child their multiplication facts, this may be what you're looking for.  It's even good for teaching kids with learning disabilities.  I believe it's well worth the price.

So if you want to help trigger your child's memory head on over to Trigger Memory Systems and see all the neat things they have to offer .

Through our homeschooling journey I wish to encourage and share resources as well as wisdom that would be of help to the homeschooling community. By bringing our academy to the public, we hope to gather more insight and information from other homeschool families, who have already walked the path that we are now on. I welcome your ideas and suggests that will help us as we educate our son more about God and His calling on his life.
