• Dec. 18, 2008 - Crayola Art Studio

Core Learning has partnered with Crayola to come up with a wonderful way for the kids to really get creative.   Their new software Crayola Art Studio is a must have.  It is fun and can be used by people of all ages because it's so easy to navigate.  My son had a blast making designs and colorful art.  His eyes lit up when we installed the software on our laptop.  He wanted to be on the computer for hours just figuring out what else he could do with it.  There are so many colors, patterns, and designs to choose from.  This is way cooler than the Microsoft Paint and Publisher software we have been using all this time.  You can create so much more with it.  For only $24.95 you get these cool features...

* tempera and crylic paint

* watercolors

* chalk

* crayons

* oil pastel

*colored pencils

* markers

* even stickers!

This is something you can use for years and years to come.   Core Learning also has other great software they offer.  They're products are focused on developing "higher order thinking" (critical thinking skills) and "maintain mental processing capabilities" (important life skills).  Subject areas of focus are LA (English) , Math, Health, Art, and technology.

My son love the demo of their Health for Kids Series.  It's like a video  that teaches all about how the body works.  As we went through the CD he kept saying "Let's look at so more mom".   I was really impressed with what they have to offer.  I hope to be able to buy more of their products once our money isn't so tight .   Why don't you stop by Core Learning and check out the screen shots and demos of some of their products.  You may be impressed at what you see.

Through our homeschooling journey I wish to encourage and share resources as well as wisdom that would be of help to the homeschooling community. By bringing our academy to the public, we hope to gather more insight and information from other homeschool families, who have already walked the path that we are now on. I welcome your ideas and suggests that will help us as we educate our son more about God and His calling on his life.
