Buddy's success!

For those of you that are not familar with Parelli, it is a Natural Horsemanship. I am gaining my horses confidence on the ground through 7 games that they teach. I am not very far along, and can already see the difference. I have 2 horses I am working with: Buddy (a gelding quarter horse) and Butterfly (an american paint horse). Butterfly has attitude issues and is very dominant like. Whereas, Buddy is more laid back, I'll do it if you will just stop kinda guy. I have got the circling game down with him very well. I am getting 2-3 laps and when I stop him, he hides his rump beautifully. Butterfly is doing the circling game but its kinda rough. I have to bring my energy up and keep it up for her to pay attention. She has a very high play drive, and is incredably onery.
Anyhow, I was wanting to write in here that after much work today I got Buddy to jump over barrels that were laying on their side. I had to put them up against a fence and use the squeeze game (him going in between me and something) to get him to do it, but finally he decided to go. After much much friendly game and him snorting about it lol, we managed to do it again...and again. Then I took the ropes off and gave him a friendly rub, and quit. So successful today was!!!!! Now I just need to work with Butterfly at some point I wish had more time to play with them.

I suppose a first entry would be good.

Well, I suppose I should write my first entry. hehe. I am about to have to start researching curriculums and decide what we are going to do. Homeschooling at this moment in my life seems really impossible. God will bring me through though. Shelb will be in 1st grade....unbelievable. I am hoping that this will help me get organized *coughs* yeah right *coughs*. But I am trying. I need lots of prayer over this. I am wondering if I should start Sabre this year or wait one more with him. He already knows his ABC's (regonizes them, but hates singing so wont sing them). Sami is growing up fast. He is about to start walking. YAY!!! He is walking along the couch, so it won't be long.
