Sep. 7, 2007 - Hallelujah Anyhow!

In all honesty, it's been one rough week. I wish I were one of these folks that can smile in the face of adversity and laugh when they're down, knowing that everything is going to be better tomorrow. Nope, not me.
But, the Lord has everything under control. He loves me... I love Him... He knows where I am. It could be worse. I have considered some people that I know who REALLY have it bad, a real reason to complain. I know that this too shall pass... Jesus has me in the sweet palm of His hand and He has my best interest in mind.
Like the song says:
Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Amen and Amen. If you are struggling, know that you are not alone. If you aren't struggling today, pray for someone who is. I have met some wonderful friends in blogosphere that have given me great support! Reach out and touch somebody today!

His Eyes Are On The Sparrow is my mother's favorite song. I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well and you missed the retreat. I pray that you feel better today and that the Lord gives you strength.
Blessings,
Lori
