Dec. 31, 2008 - Almost New Years

So anyone have BIG plans for New Year's Eve??  None here.  During the day tomorrow I will be taking my mom to the Dr. More x-rays, and a new cast.  Hoping that everthing is healing up OK.  We have had a busy couple of days, our sweet little Gracie is in town.  This is a little girl who became like our own when her and Wilson were just babies together, she started as just one of my day care kids, but became one who was instantly part of the family.  Due to her mom's interest in doing "other things" we had Grace at our house all of the time, she truely became like one of our own, to us and all extended family as well.  Then when she was getting ready to turn 3 they up and moved to Alaska, her dad has since moved back here, and is only a few minutes across town, so when he gets her for Christmas and summer visits we all get a little fun Gracie time!! We LOVE IT, except that is seems to end so quickly!!  We went over for a visit on Sunday evening and Savannah ended up staying the night, and spending the day with them on Monday then Monday night we got to have her over for a sleep over and keep her most of today, we had a couple of strangley warm days here, so it meant a trip to the park and fun pictures of all the kids, and then out to eat with grandma, and then over to visit another grandma, it was a fun, but busy day!!   We are hoping to get to see her at least 1 more time before she goes, and may go visit them for a little while on New Years Eve, but that is about as exciting as it gets around here!  And I am perfectly fine with that.  Sonny has been off of work since the 23rd, and really enjoying doing pretty much nothin, we have just been hangin out, and it has been nice, but I will say I think the kids and I are ready for some routine back.  He goes back to work on the 5th, so we will start school back up then too!

We had a nice Christmas here, going to the Christmas Eve service at our church (you HAVE to go next year Laurie, it was awesome), then to my dad and Cathy's, we always love that night, snacks and the kids opening gifts and visiting!! So much fun!!! Then Christmas morning the kids were up before early if you can even imagine that time, I actually sent them back to bed twice, making them wait until it was at least 6:00 am.  Then we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and opened gifts and had Birthday cake for breakfast!!  After just relaxing for a while it was time to go to my mom's with her ankle being broken most of dinner preperations were up to Bob and I, and whatever mom could do from her wheel chair, because you know there was NO WAY she wasn't going to be in that kitchen!!!!  It all turned out really good, and we had a good day! Christmas night I was taking down the tree and cleaning my house, time to get things back into order!! I know others leave it up till New Year's but by Christmas I am ready for the giant tree out of my living room and to have my house back!!!  With this all done that night, I felt much better and able to kick back and just relax, which is pretty much what I have been doing ever since,  well with the exception of going over and taking care of mom's house and things like that, but around here I feel like I have really been lazy!! Guess I better kick it into gear!!

Those are the happenings around here lately, not much really!! But we like it that way!!

Hope everyone had a Blessed CHRISTmas!!
