Mar. 6, 2009 - Calling a short day...
yes, a very short day in terms of school! It is only 10:40 am and we have finished our lessons planned for the day. I did have much more planned, but WOW it is beautiful outside and we have all been feeling some cabin fever around here. So we did our Bible reading, memory verse and Math and called school over!! The kids were so excited to get outside for the day! We do have just a few errands to run that they are less than excited about, but have been reminded that they will have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the sunshine; so the complaints seem to have stopped!
It also doesn't hurt to remind them that they could be stuck in a class room for 5 more hours if they were in public school!! Talk about putting things into perspective.
Now I am off the computer and off to enjoy the sunshine with my kiddos!
