"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.

Nov. 16, 2005 - Curious Avocado Conflict
My ds-9 and ds-12 have been arguing an
awful lot lately. It is driving everyone batty and even they have
expressed their frustration with it.
Mom sat down with ds-9 and asked him if he could think of any reason why he and ds-12 are fighting much more frequently.
"I don't know. I guess it is because we don't always like the same things.
Like avocados, I used to not like avocados and neither did
brother. Now I like avocados and he doesn't. We have been
fighting ever since."
So, dear friends, I warn you, feeding your child avocados may result in increased arguments and conflict. Who knew?

At least they know they dont LIKE to be fighting!! I wonder if it's the ages....mine are 10 and 12 and whilst they're great kidlets, this has been the year for being at each other's throats. Cant be avocados here--they've never eaten one!! :D
LOL to the encyclopedia--I had NO idea other folks did that too!!
I enjoyed your curious blog!

About Me
We are a curious homeschooling family with curious kids, baby, mom, dad, cat and most curious is our dog. His curiosity gets him into trouble again and again, especially when he is curious about the garbage.
The people in our house carry encyclopedias around, even to the bathroom, and like to read the dictionary, large atlases, as well as the BIBLE.
We tend to read EVERYTHING (even cereal boxes, junk mail and food labels) and we want to know the answer to all the questions one could ever wonder.
We like books on cassettes, CDs, the radio and in our hands. We like to read silently, out loud and mostly before bed.
We internet on our networked computers and go enjoy the community library as well as buy oodles of books and I guess that is what curious people do.
Have a very BLESSED day full of the exciting curiosity of a child!
Curiosity is the very basis of education and if you tell me that curiosity killed the cat, I say only the cat died nobly.
