Boston Children's Museum II; keeping up the energy

Posted in homeschool day
Thanks partly to all the natural light in the museum, I got a lot of great shots yesterday!  I decided to break the blogs up into mini blogs, so that reading the entries would not be an exercise in waiting for my photos to load.

Part I is Here

DH has trained himself to go at kid speed when we are out and about, and to re-fuel us when we flag.  We load his Army surplus green backpack with diaper kit, clothing changes, first lunch, and slippers.  Yep, slippers.  Clumping in boots through snow is warm, clumping through a museum is hard on the feet, back, and attitude.  So we left our boots in the un-guarded coatroom, rented a locker for my purse, and wore our slippers.  At least DH, K and I did, the boys perferred their boots.

The museum is attached to an Au bon Pain store; when nap time came and went we splurged on coffee and treats for adults, milk and treats for the kids,  we'd already eaten our pbjs, apples, water bottles, and some Pizzeria Regina slices (in the South Station food court, they just smelled sooooo good) back at lunch time.

K likes cream cheese, can you tell?

If I'd been more organized, I might have packed more than just 1st lunch, but keeping up the calories was good for morale, and it was for M's birthday after all.
