Feb. 7, 2007 - Shopping with mom.
I have never been shy about my dislike for 'Bratz' dolls. In fact, if you overheard me while walking down the toy aisle with my kids, odds are it would entail some sort of conversation about the dolls, the way they 'choose to dress themselves,' why they wear what they wear and subsequently, what the clothes we wear from day to day might say about us. I have even had similar conversations (one sided mind you) with my baby boy, warning him against the foolishness of dating girls who dress in this fashion. That is why I was so tickled the other day when I heard my girls arguing about whether or not 'pretty' and 'fancy' were synonyms. Okay, so they did not use the word synonyms, but you get the idea. My six year old won the discussion without further protest from her sister when she stated as an example that, "Bratz dolls are fancy, but they are NOT pretty!"

Honestly, the picture is a couple years old and I'm not sore what we were doing, If you look really close, as I did for the first time this morning. I have two RIGHT hands in the photo. One of them has to be my husbands who is in the background. Maybe I was saying we had three kids and he was saying he wanted five more!?

I love that story! 5 more huh! Maybe it is just a hidden desire of his and he doesn't even know it. Just like the desire to pick up and move to Mexico at any moment, right?
