Some Assembly Required....

Apr. 4, 2007 - Two Truths Tue..Wednsday!

Sorry everyone, I wasn't testing you to see if you were paying attention. My girls had their first ballet performance at a retirement community yesterday and we were busy, busy. No Lie.

My intentions are to find a way to link all of us who are playing to make it easier to track. I did not figure it out this week (you know what they say about good intentions), but know I am working on it.

Okay, so my answers for last week...

I never took my SATS, so when I started college in Portland I had to take placement exams. I really don't take tests well and when I got my results back for the math portion, I tested one class above a class that was really called, "I can't do math.' Who get's to pick the course titles at that school anyway!? So that's my lie. I was not in the class, I tested one above it.

Eventually I made my way to Statistics (pretty quicky, really) but found myself unable to concentrate on a word our teacher was saying. It was a dull, damp, overcrowded classroom, and our teacher spoke in mono-tone. One day I remember being amazed by how many things my mind could dabble in, other than what I was suppose to be focused on. I decided to take an incomplete and try again the next term because that one epiphany was the only thing I learned the entire eight weeks I attended. Whe I tried again, I ended up with a great teacher, who did not once require we open the text book. I lived and breathed Statistics for the next two years and got an 'A' each term!

That time in my life helped form my opinion on both the the validity of test taking and the use of text books in learning.

Okay, so this week? Hmmm.. Got it:

1. I grew up an only child.

2. I am one of six children.

3. I have a brother whom I have never met.

See ya next week! And hey, next time, don't be late.

I'm gonna guess...hmm..that you did not grow up with six brothers and sisters. Oh and, I noticed some people were using this http://www.blenza.com/linkies/ to keep track of their memes. There doesn't seem to many directions with it, so I'm not sure how easy it is to figure out. They use it a lot at www.fiveminutesformom.com. Well I hope that will help solve the problem of keeping track of everyone. Let me know what you think.

Blessings,
Hallie

Okay...I think the lie is you are one of six children.

Are your girls doing recitals? Mine are ....URG! I can't find a tan leotard anywhere! You'd think since there are a bazillion dance schools in town you'd be able to find a dance store that actually carries what you need...but NO! Anyway, it's all worth it when they get up there and dance. I can feel the happy tears coming already!

Happy Easter!

Saw sagerats post, and crashed the party.Someone posted Anon at mine, perhaps you, about linking? That would be fine with me. This looks like fun.

I guess #2 is the lie, because 1&3 kind of go together?
Is there a story to your avatar? I kept staring and staring becasue it looked like you have 2 right hands, then DUH, it is your husband's hand. 5 and 3, hmm, trying to solve the puzzle. It's probably just a picture, and I am looking for meaning...
