Some Assembly Required....

Apr. 10, 2007 - Two Truth's Tuesday

Ballet, Ballet, but first I've got to play....

Hi every one! I though I would get this out of the way before my girls' ballet today. No tardiness for me this time.

I have alway thought that the best lies..errr..fabrications.. have a grain of truth in them, so that was the approach I took last week.

I told you that I grew up an only child, which is true. From the time I was three until I was out of the house I lived alone with my dad. I do however have five other siblings, none of them share the same mom and dad that I have. When I was born my mother had a daughter four years older than I am from a previous marriage and my dad had two sons that were over eighteen years older than I am. That only adds up to three you say? Well, yes, you'll be happy to know that your addition is correct!

I also have a SISTER named Kathi Lee whom I have never met. She is my father's daughter and is half Vietnamese. This brings us up to four, and the fifth, is another brother who suprised my dad and I with a phone call when I was sixteen. I have always had brothers and sisters, but I have never really had brothers and sisters. That's one of the things that I love about watching my own kids grow up. I think one of the best gifts you can give a kid is another brother or sister.

This week: 'Stupid Human Tricks'

1. I can talk through my nose, with my mouth closed.

2. I have double jointed hips.

3. I have double jointed fingers.

Is the lie #2-you have double jointed hips?
I've never heard of that, so not sure what it is.
That is so funny what your dd said about feeling like a tent!!
Thank you for your really nice comment on my blog! My computer crashed and it had to be re-vamped, which took awhile and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I haven't been able to blog in a couple weeks, I think!
Hope you are getting plenty of rest and feeling well! Holly

I am guessing that your hips are not double jointed. At least I hope their not for your sake, or mine, because it sounds gross! What exactly would that allow you to do I'm wondering? Walk with one foot forward and the other backward?

Blessings,
Hallie

Since this is two TRUTHS, that means only one of these things isn't true? (I am brilliant, no?)

Hi Kathi,
I think the lie is double - jointed hips!

Your ring finger looks a bit over extended in your avitar, so perhaps your do have extra stretchy fingers... and you obviously can do the "talk through the nose" thing - or else how would you have even thought of it?

You are so interesting.... I love learning these tid bits about you! :-)

Apr. 13, 2007 - your questions

Hi! I have a FAQ entry -- this is the link: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Jimmie/153593/
I've been in China for over four years -- five this fall.

Is he a doctor? Yes, according to Chinese medicine, he is. According to our western way of thinking, absolutely NOT.

Wow, what an interesting family you have! We know someone who has several half brothers and sisters and 2 of them that are both half siblings to our friend (But not related to each other.) met and got married! Now he jokes that his brother is married to his sister! Very confusing! The are a darling couple though! God works in mysterious ways.

I would love to see that talking through your nose trick. Have you appled to the David Letternan show yet?

BTW, thanks for all your comments on my blog. I have been soooo busy lateley I rarely get to read blogs. But, I do click over to yours since you comment and the link is right there. I enjoy visiting you!

In Him,

Jamin
