is homeschooling right for my family

I have looked at this website for months and haven't had the courage to write anything. I am looking for support and information about homeschooling. My second grader M. is begging to be homeschooled next year. He is a brilliant child, very creative, and he is bullied, picked on and made fun of. It is so sad. I also have a Kindergartener and he wants to continue public school for next year. He is ADHD or so I have been told. No medication yet I won't do it to him. So any thoughts or comments would be appreciatied.

I was random blogging and ran across yours. I enjoyed my visit so I hung around for a bit.

You asked "is homeschooling right for my family". After reading your posts, I'd say that you are already homeschooling but the teachers are getting all the credit for the work you are doing.

I understand where you are. The decision for us to homeschool was not one we made lightly. After much prayer and consideration we decided to pull our youngest out of public school after the 1st grade. I homeschooled him in 2nd grade while my oldest continued his 5th grade education in public school. We pulled him about half way through the 4th quarter that year. This is my first year to have them both. It's worked well for us and has been a great blessing. If homeschooling is where your being led, then don't be afraid to give it a go. Praying for you, Jenn
