Mar. 10, 2008 - We will know even more today....

I know I have been terribly remiss in posting, however I have remained in deep thought and prayer over the girls and what is to become of them. I have tried to fill their days with flying kites, riding bikes and all the little things that families do. We have surrounded them with love and family at every chance. There is a permanency hearing today to see what the judge has determined as to the fate of these girls. The parental rights were terminated on February 25th, however this really does not mean a whole lot. The parents have an appeal, which takes a year and they can still receive their visits during that time. They cannot be adopted during this time, so they cannot begin their lives, cannot give their whole hearts to our family, cannot feel safe in knowing that they are here forever.

I have been inside my own head alot, searching for my lesson here. Trying to fulfill my purpose. It has been difficult for me and I know that sharing it may have been easier, but searching one's soul is a deeply personal thing. We are still sort of trying to see where all the pieces fit in this. Running scenario after scenario, hypothetical situations, what will you do if......I hope to come out a little wiser for all this, probably alot tougher too. So we will know even more after today. Again sorry for not posting, I just don't think I was ready.

Mar. 10, 2008 - Hang in there

Although this has been the longest year waiting for the girls to be all yours, keeping your focus on what is best for the girls at this moment is important. All your care and love will effect them the rest of their lives, no one can take that away. Keep your faith that these will be your girls after all is said and done. The older they are the bigger their voices are and a judge will see their stable loving enviroment. You have provided the best home they will ever see and you all will be rewarded for that in many ways.
This is so hard for you and you have always had great strength and that is why you were chosen for the girls. I admire your continued love and patience with this situation. I hope you can relax and enjoy everyone with your open heart like always. Many prayers are with you and hubby today!! ktneis

by the way I do not have a blog but occasionally have been checking back with my blog friends. I am now 7 months pregnant, by the grace of God all is going well. Some days I get anxious but I trust God completely that he will help me with the next child in our lives. We are all doing well but freezing up here in MN. We were in FL when the fountains froze in January. That was a bummer. Take care and know you are thought about fondly. ktneis

But I am also glad to know what is happening. This is such a time of deep trial. Cling to those Scriptures. There aren't promises that it will come out well, but God does promise that He will work it for good in the lives of those that love Him. Love can really hurt sometimes. I stand with you my friend.

Mar. 10, 2008 - We're Still Praying For You!

I know it's not much comfort to not have the answers, but you have the right idea about the girls. Whatever the outcome, know that you have touched their lives in many ways and that by showing your love for them, they will carry that with them all the rest of their lives.

My parents took in foster kids, most were drug abused babies, but we knew they couldn't keep the kids. They continually gave 100% to each child (all 13 of them). Here it is 30 years later and guess what, they still hear from those kids and are constantly thanked for the positive influence and impact they created in those kids' lives.

Whatever the outcome (and we're hoping for the best for you), you have done tremendous good. Your love will carry them through.

God Bless You!

Dear Cyndi, Your thoughtful times are such a blessing for you all. That you may contemplate and consider, the way a loving parent should. May God be with you and give you comfort in His strength & promises. Hugs to you!
