Raising Little Women

Jul. 12, 2006 - Works For Me Wednesday

What works for me is rubber bands. David gave me a necklace for Christmas and I wanted to wear it before we had a chance to buy an extension. So I looped a rubber band through the clasps in the back and have been wearing it ever since. I have just recently come to realize that when Sarah is pulling on it that it just expands with the rubber band instead of breaking. I have lost a couple of necklaces due to the kids pulling on them.

I've never even thought of that Michelle! :)
I've lost a few necklaces myself.

How clever is that! My kids were necklace pullers too! Wish I would have been as clever!

That is a great idea! I have had to replace gold chains frequently from babies tugging on them as well....*big sigh*

Great idea to use a rubber band as a necklace extender!

I posted a WFMW tip as well. Stop by and take a peek. :)

Hey, I bet it keeps the necklace from spinning around your neck, too. You know how the clasp always ends up in front? Does it work for that, too? Thanks for the tip!

That is a good idea! I should try that on some of mine. But, seeing from the other post...I'm not that girly. So, I don't wear necklaces too often. LOL!
