Busy, busy, busy
Typing while holding a semi-asleep baby. Sorry in advance for typos. \
Life has been busy with a newborn and being on my own while dh goes back to work. But it's all good!
We've been doing homeschool though we didn't finish today. But dh does homework! We only have 11 days to finish our 180 days for the state! The older kids spent the weekend at their grandparents. While there, they went to a PowWow and had a blast. They came home with jewelry, arrowheads, shells and shark teeth.
Baby is doing ok. We've been dealing with jaundice and had to be at the doctor 6 or 7 times (all ready) for the yucky heal prick thing. Her number is down but now we are dealing with slow weight gain. We've not reached our weight and actually lost some after we gained. I had to deal with this during my last child also and we ended up supplementing. I didn't want to do that this time too but alas, we are
...Right now, I'm taking Reglan and also Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up some Red Raspberry Leaf on our way back from the doctor (to check weight gain)
. (That's what I feel like right now.) I've got some Mother's Milk Tea but this particular one has Anise in it and I have a HARD time getting it down. I'm thinking about ordering some other without anise online or maybe a tincture. I'm not a hot tea kind of person so it's hard for me to drink it. I'm eating my oatmeal but need to up it a little more. I bought a new hospital grade pump and I'm trying to get that to help but that's hard to do with the kiddos during the day. But with all of that, the doctors tell me that my baby is beautiful and very healthy. Thank you God!
I'm healing fairly well. I've felt good this time around. My incision is not healing the way they want it to due to the new disolvable staples that they used. They will fix it for me if it doesn't get better. I'm going back this Friday for another check. I'm praying that God heals it because I don't want to go through that right now so soon after my surgery.
But on a good note - I'm ordering some new cloth diapers tonight! We started using cloth with our last child when she was about 9 months old. The ones we have are premium size and little big for our small one. So I'm going to order some infant size unbleached chinese prefolds and some new covers. I did not like our covers last time so I'm going to try proraps. I'm also going to order some fitted diapers so I can make some. I have some larger ones to use as patterns but I need a few smaller ones for our wee one who has such a tiny backside! I love cloth diapers so I'm excited to get some more!
Ok, enough baby rambling. I need to go do mama stuff!
