Two In Bed

           Two In Bed
            A.B. Ross

                When my brother Tommy
               Sleeps in bed with me,
             He doubles up
            And makes
           himself
            exactly
          like
           a
           V

And 'cause the bed is not so wide,
A part of him is on my side.

LITTLE

          LITTLE
         Dorothy Aldis

I am the sister of him
            And he is my brother.
He is too little for us
          To talk to each other.

So every morning I show him
     My doll and my book;
But every morning he still is
Too little to look.

The Week of the Calves

One day my Grandfather came to our house.  I was in the bathtub when he came.  Then my sister came and told me that a calf was born.

What I Know About the Resurrection

What I Know About the Resurrection.

by Catherine Elizabeth Smith

First, came the palm day, then came the Passover.  The king's warriors heard the people shouting.  They got very angry.  Then, they busted into the place were Jesus was passovering.  They found Him.  They brought Him to the king, and He said maybe put him to death.  They put Him on the cross.  Mary and the other Mary came to the tomb were He was buried, and they couldn't find Him.  Gabriel said that He is alive.  They ran down the hill, and finally found Him.  He said, "Go get my disciples".  They got the disciples, and brought them to Jesus.  This is the resurrection.

The End

Granddaddy's Horses

Granddaddy has seven horses.   My favorite is Cocoa. He is a chocolate horse, and a foxtrotter, and a gaited horse.   I like Cocoa because he has a cool color on his mane and his body.    He lets me pet him and kiss him on the forehead when I  come to give him sweet treats.   He is a very nice  horse.

Popcorn is my sister's favorite horse.   I like Popcorn and Cocoa very much.

My dad likes to ride Smokey.   He is very calm,  like popcorn.  Granddaddy's horse is Redd Fox.   My mom cannot ride Redd Fox.

For the summer, some people gave my Granddaddy two horses to pick out and see which one is the best to buy.   We know that he is going  to buy both of them, and the two horses that we are  going to keep for the summer  are  Smokey  and Rusty.    Rusty is going to turn five very soon.   Smokey is eleven.

He has Scout.   She is my Uncle's horse.  She  had a baby last spring, and his name is Tiger.   Tiger  is a very dangerous horse because he doesn't know  alot about us, and Tiger is one year old.

We used to have a very pretty horse.   She was white.   Her name was Sugar, but we sold her.   Also, we used to have two black horses named Lady Die and Lady.  They looked like twins.

Granddaddy has Cocoa, Popcorn, Redd Fox, Smokey,  Rusty, Scout, an  Tiger.   He also has fifteen cows.
