HOMESCHOOL HEART-TO-HEART

When Life and Death get in the way...
It has been quite some time since I have made entry into this little corner of cyber-space, and yes dare I say the past few months have been overwhelming at best.  As we approached the holiday season, we were again racked with illness and pain as the flu came to call on all six in the household, (myself included).  This just after the Thanksgiving Holiday, and it consumed us into the middle of December.  Just as everyone was recuperating, we were confronted with the sudden death of a beloved Uncle, and needed to travel out-of-state for the funeral.  We returned just in time for the beginning of Christmas break, and my husband and children monopolized the pc so my time was naught.  Christmastime itself was a quiet, solemn and peaceful affair, yet how I looked forward to that old friend "routine" again.  I must say, it has come, hopefully to stay with us and not abandon us entirely through the next catastrophe, which at this very moment looks an awful lot like a case of the chicken pox. I shall just breathe...

My sincere sympathy at the loss of your uncle. He must have been special for you to call him "beloved". Trials do come along lifes way but you have the right idea. I always say, "Breathe in, breathe out." It gets you through.

God Bless,
Pat ;o)

Wanted to say hi. Your blog entry in January was timely for my April visit. My dad died on Monday.

Hope things are going well for you now.

We need those here. How far are you from South Central Iowa. Ü

Well -- I know while you are having them... that's NOT fun... but couldn't you just spread the joy a little? ;)
