We are pretty much regulars at our chiropractor's office, and we always like to get our newborns in right away for a good once-over to make sure they start out life all lined up after the stress their little bodies undergoe during the birthing process. So here's little Mercy, 3 days old, getting in to get checked out.
Everything was wonderful, there really was no trauma to her birth, no twisting, no tilted hips (like little Gracie after birth), nothing, just a smooth exit from the womb. The only thing he did was a little gentle touching/manipulating on her head, to help smooth out any ridges where the plates line up... our chiropractor is a teaching chiropractor and he's always got a few interns working with him and learning from him, and practicing on many of us- but they don't get to adjust my newborns! They did get to hold her and softly touch her head feeling for her cranio-sacral rhythm. They thought that was pretty cool. I got a thorough going over too, I needed to be 'put back together' after being pregnant and giving birth! And I'll need several good visits in the next couple of weeks while there's still a bit of relaxin coursing through my body... and as my neck and shoulders adjust to the new body mechanics of holding a baby so much- I really need to watch my posture! Just thought I'd share that moment and give 3 cheers to my chiropractor! Thanks Dr. C! ali
Chiropractors are so cool! I recently went to one for my arthritis, and it was amazing. He his office was too far away for us to keep going to, but I am definatly looking for one in our area.
one more thing, I chose to tag you. If you would like to do the tag, you can find it on my blog. It's kind of a fun one!
