12.2.2007 - Another Spelling Question

Posted in Heard In My House

8 yr old son: Mom, how do yo spell nuther?

Me: How do you spell what?

8 yr old son: Nuther, you know, like uh-nuther... (another!)

I had to chuckle a little, and I asked him if he had ever heard anyone say anything about 2 nuthers, or some nuthers...

He sounds so much like my 9 yr. old. He is always saying a different word, but is so clever. Spelling is a challenge around here too! Lots of phonetic stuff going on. Just don't tell on us. LOL

Thanks for the visit over at my blog. It's always good to hear from you!
Have a great week!
Nancy

Hey I didn't know you were a home schooling momma. I only knew you from your skiensherway site. I will have to come visit some more. I will have to say you have really inspired me to get back to knitting and I have been having a blast this summer

C'est adorable! don't you wish you could tape record some of these conversations? and then play them a few years later or when they're grown up? we used to do that...way back when! ;)

rofl... "nuthers"... sounds like some sort of a peanut butter cookie. "I'll take two boxes of Nuthers, please"

Funny, funny, funny. Especially because I stink at spelling.
