3.13.2008 - Infectious Giggles
It was one of those "wish I had that on video..." moments-
The rousing round of giggles coming from my brood while watching Donald O'Conner's "Make 'em Laugh" scene in Singin' in the Rain tonight... Now that was music to this mother's ears!
Enjoying them,
because of Him,

6.10.2006 - Not Quite the Circus...
Just thought I'd
share a moment of our Saturday fun. Jaron was doing some digging
(grr...) and he came across the bag of long balloons from a party or
two ago... and of course, he knew where the pump was... so, it was
circus clown mom to the rescue...rescue from what? 10 minutes of
boredom, I guess...
For the first few minutes the simple snakes and 'hats' sufficed...
Then they remembered mom can make balloon doggies... so,
recalling the clowning days of my teen years I made several puppies,
popping a few balloons along the way and everyone was grins and
giggles, for a few minutes anyway!
Just thought I'd share that little sneak peak into a Saturday around
here... the afternoon is taming down after the balloon circus, we may
have to bake something as we have a serious cold front hanging over us
(we went from 90's to 60's in a couple days... ) and it just may be one
of the last good baking days before fall... brownies anyone?

6.9.2006 - That's the Way the Cookie Crumbles
I've realized I
have a problem. My problem is Oreos... My husband started buying
them every so often as a treat and now I can't stop eating them... If
they're open, I'm eating them... If they're not open, I open them and
then proceed to start eating them- with or without milk... Why
are they so addictive? If you know me at all you
know that I have an idealogical/philosophical thing against refined
sugars... and yet I can't stop eating Oreos! Whenever I decide
I've gone too far and really have to stop- first I have to finish the
package so there are no more left in the house! But somehow more
packages keep finding there way into my house... Gluttony-
pure and simple gluttony... ugh... I have no self discipline... gotta
work on that... tomorrow, for tonight I'm going to settle in for a
movie with my husband and a glass of milk with some oreos... (we have
to finish this package!)
