Landscape Drawings
Paul took the kids to the park today.  (What a blessing that was!)  For art we had discussed landscapes, so while they were there they each did a landscape drawing with oil pastels.  They were really good!  When they got home I had to figure out which park they went to based on their drawings and I did!  Paul even got into the fun and made one himself.  Here are their drawings:

Ian (5)

Christian (7)

Anthony (11)

Paul (37) LOL

What a neat idea about the painting and the park. I need to have my daughter do some more painting. She likes to work with watercolors at little bit.
I read your post about the library. We love the library too.
The pictures you posted......it looks like it is January and NO COATS and sunshine!!!! Oooo, that would be so nice. Right now we are waiting on the weather to warm a bit. Yesterday morning it was minus 10 degrees. It was lovingly brought to us, here in Indiana, by an Alberta Clipper weather system.
Take Care,
Watalulu

Yes, I am sorry for all of you who are dealing with the extreme colds. Here is So Cal, there is no winter. It has been in the 70s and 80s the last two weeks!

Hi Dawn! Thanks for dropping by my blog. I must say that this is a really cool idea to have the kids draw the "mystery" park they go to then have you try to figure out where they went. I'll keep that one in mind!

As for the NERF challenge...notice that it's "no electronics", not "no electricity". So of course, we used the oven to bake the muffins. My goal for doing this challenge with my family is for ALL of us to take a break from computer, TV, and video games. It truely effected our family in ways I wasn't expecting. :)

I also noticed that you are having computer problems. Not sure what happened but I lost half of my right column on my blog tonight. WHAAAAA! I don't know what I'm to do now but to try to rebuild it. That should be interesting...I mean a great learning experience. :)

Have a great Sunday,
Jennifer
