Aug. 25, 2008 - Simple Woman's Daybook

I joined another meme which takes place every Monday. The purpose of this one is to "share with others a little look into your day plans and thoughts while you are focusing on the simplicity of the everyday moments around you." So here's my daybook FOR TODAY Monday, August 25th, 2008 ...
Outside My Window... the crows are cawking (so loudly it's what woke me up) and it's raining softly (which is perfect for all the grass seed we spread on Saturday).
I am thinking...about the day ahead.
I am thankful for...my little house in the country, fresh country air, the woodshed we just finished filling with wood, and for Audie, Levi and Truman.
Monday - Chicken and Biscuits
Tuesday - Scalloped potatoes and ham
Wednesday - Tacos
Thursday - Fish and Rice
Friday - Leftovers/Fend for Yourself NIght
Saturday - Homemade pizza
I am wearing...green cargo pants and a brown t-shirt.
I am creating...lesson plans and binders for school.
I am going...to take Truman to the groomer and pick up my new glasses today.
I am reading...The Little House Cookbook, Levi's textbooks, and Romans.
I am hoping...to have all my plans and notebooks ready to start school early next week.
I am hearing...Levi playing with a puzzle in the other room, the crows still cawking outside, and the keys on my keyboard clacking.
Around the house...there's a bit of an emptiness as Audie is gone until Thursday evening on a business trip.
One of my favorite things...The crisp, fresh air and the colorful leaves of autumn, which are just around the corner!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Have dinner with my in-laws, go to a planning meeting for our homeschool group, visit my grandma, and have Levi's cousin over to play one more time before she goes back to school.
Here is picture (or two) I am sharing...
From left to right - our nephew Shane, Audie and Audie's dad building the woodshed early last summer.

I enjoyed your blog. Last year for HS we used the Prairie Primer for part of our curriculum. It is based on the Little House Books. I may get it out again this year to add to our curriculum. Stop by my blog sometime. www.reflectionsinthewindow.blogspot.com

Its Jen again,
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet "Nellie" this past month. We live next to a living history museum and they had Laura Ingalls Wilder day. "Nellie" was there, she was so sweet, even in 95 degree weather. It was great! I felt like a kid again.

I'd like to have a pair of green cargo pants...
The crows here are LOUD, we didn;t have this many in Ohio. But we have more humming brds, here, too.
I like having the blogger list on my page- it lets me know when the blogs I read are updated.

I enjoyed reading your daybook entry.
Isn't it funny how the house just feels different when you know someone isn't there. Same thing if someone is sick - it just feels different!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Always good to see men at work building something. I'm always very thankful for a hubby who can build stuff and friends who'll help him when needed.
