Mar. 20, 2000 - Rain - Go away!
Dear Kathryn,
Today Is dreadful. Raining and storming all day through. when will it ever quit? Daddy had planned for us to go for a drive in the carridge, but it had to be cancelled on account of the rain. Ah! well, I suppose I must resign myself to be contented - confined to the house with my books. That means I won't go and see Allan today either. Poor poor fellow, He's probably dying of Boredom and loneliness up there in that cold stone building.no one to talk to him,no one play with. I know how it feels well enough myself, But I have Mummy and Daddy, and poor Allan has No one. Why that's Worse than not having any brothers or sisters! I suppose I shall end this for today.once I close this book I shall stare out of the rain splattered window and gaze out at that large building. I'll think pitiful thoughts of the poor lad imprisoned inside it's walls. Poor, poor Allan. you pity him just as much as I do Kathryn, I know you do!
