So, John says he wants to change careers. I don;t know if he is pulling my leg or if he s being serious.
He is a contractor right now, and he loves working with his hands. He now wants to be an organization-guru. Personally, I think he has found his calling. He is the most organized guy I know. Not including his dad.
When I meet people whose home he has done, they ask me if he is as neat at home as he is at work, and they expect the standard " No, he saves that for work, at home he is a slob" But they get an honest "Yes". Usually people don't know how to respond to that.
I have never had to pick up a sock, never had to put his toiletries away. His business books are immaculate, it is an IRS agent's dream. He does his own laundry, as well as anyone's who happens to be in the laundry room at the time. I am not allowed in his closet for he has everything organized, and I am not an organized person. He fears that I may mess something up.
You may think this annoys me. It doesn't. What annoys me is that I will never be like him. I try so hard to be organized, but the best I can seem to do is presentable. Anyone can come to my home, and it will be decent. I am not a slob, but I am not like him.
I think he should go for it. He would probably make a fortune. |
