Feb. 13, 2006 - Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish.
I just called out to the Lord and asked for His help. I woke up this morning without that horrible feeling. I felt more joyful and hopeful. I was in the kitchen and just spoke out "There's always got to be hope". After a little while of going about, getting the children breakfast and just doing morning things, the above scripture came to me.
I looked the words up in the Strong's and the scripture is talking about where there is no redemptive revelation of God, the people have no restraint. We all know, though, that God's word is so incredibly deep and He can speak the same scripture to us in many different situations and it ministers to us.
When I first heard that scripture this morning in my spirit, this is what it meant to me. Without a vision, direction, goals, plans, nothing is going to change in our lives. We are going to continue to just exist and be pulled into hopelessness and eventually be lost. It pertains to every area of our lives. Spiritual, homeschool, business, the upbringing of our children. If I keep allowing our lives to just flow from day to day being guided by each day's circumstance then we are going to be victims of satan. On the other hand, though, if I purpose that in each area I am going to change things and then plan out what the changes will be and what actions need to be taken, then we will be overcomers. We need a vision, a plan, a target to shoot for.
My prayer is that after I get the vision and plans put on paper, I will allow the Lord to strengthen me and hold me accountable to DOING what I know is right. That's the key. I can write all kinds of plans and goals down but doing them is what's going to bring about the results that I'm desiring.

This is something I have to keep working on myself! Sometimes writing the goals down is the easy part.. it is the doing it that can be be a big struggle. But still writing goals is the first step.. :)

Feb. 16, 2006 - keep taking it to HIM

Hi! I'm so glad to see you are still seeking HIS face! I heard Beth Moore say one time " the best way to get up is to get face down" what she was talking about was all the times in scripture where God's chosen got face down before the Lord for guidance, direction and salvation. I will continue to keep you in prayer as you seek a body of believers to worship with.
If you ever feel like taking a drive to Deland- feel free to email me and come out for a visit.
Feb. 18, 2006 - You do have a vision
Posted by dawilli
If you didn't have a vision, you wouldn't have felt the pangs of not living up to that vision. Not that we need to be setting unrealistic goals for ourselves... but sometimes that aching heart comes from realizing we're not getting to where we thought we were going.
You're a mother, you want to give your children the best life you can while here on earth, but you can't do it in your own strength. When you can keep your vision lined up with the Lord's vision for your family you'll find yourself much more hopeful and far less discouraged.
Keep tuning in to the Lord, He'll lead you through!
Hang in there, and Keep on keepin' on!

how true the saying 'dynamite comes in small packages' one small verse of Scripture sure goes a long way sometimes, doesn't it. I'm thankful for hope, the hope that is sure and perfect, never perishes, spoils, or fades and is kept by the power of God for us. (1 peter 1:3-9)
- trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight -
He has not forgotten you, ((((dear sister))))

I don't believe there is anything wrong with dreaming big - I mean after all God wants to do "exceedingly, abundantly above what we can ask or think". It's when we try to hold on to them too tight that I think the problem comes in. Life might not always go according to our "plan" but isn't it awesome to know it always goes according to his "Plan"?
I'd really encourage you to read one of John Maxwell's Leadership books. Remember you are a leader for you family! You're the Queen of your house :)

I've been stopping back every now and again, but still no post. I hope everything is going well. Perhaps you all have found a great faith family to get invested in and have become too busy to sit on the computer. This would be my great joy.
Just wanted you to know, you are missed, not forgotten.
