Over the past couple of years I have been trying to loose weight. Not in a 'let's diet and go crazy about it' kind of way, just a 'let's be sensible and eat more healthy foods and loose some weight along the way' kind of way.
I have been seeing some small but steady losses over the months and choose to only weigh myself once a month (just after Aunt Flo's visit) so as not to get discouraged by the flucuation during the month.
Well.....drumroll please........this morning I finally weighed in under 150lbs at 148!!!!! I have about six more pounds to go to get to my pre-pregy weight from McGee, so I'm nearly there!!!! Not bad huh? It has only been EIGHT years since he was born.
Saying that though I need to let myself off the hook a bit. I have had one more full term pregnancy and five various stage miscarriages in those eight years too. I'm a person who piles loads of weight on at the beginning of a pregnancy too, I simply blow up like a balloon and then level out in the middle and then get HUGE at the end! So with the ones that we lost I already had alot to loose. Yuck!
Anyway, rejoice with me. This is a big milestone for me! All the sweeter by the fact that it is a natural weightloss that won't be super hard to keep off now. Actually I'll tell you that I weighed in at a whopping 175lbs at the worst of my weight about two and half years ago. So actually I've lost 27lbs so far! I'm pretty proud of myself.
As I said my next goal is pre-McGee weight which was 142lbs and then I think I'll aim for the weight I was most comfortable at which was around 133lbs. But I'll go a step at a time for now! I think I'll go give myself a treat!  |
