Sorry for the lack of update. Things have been crazy around here and also, the status of things kept changing today a little too fast to update you on.
We have happy to have Dh home again. However we are still very concerned about him. They did no xrays, tests, scans, or anything else really. Yet they were 'certain' that there was no damage to be concerned about! I did, after much coaxing, convince the nurse to book an appointment with the consultant. That means that at least he won't have to go on a waiting list for months to see the orthapedic consultant, but rather will stay on his books.
He was supposed to be in till tomorrow. Then he was going to come home but not possibly till this evening. Then we went to see him at 2pm and when we were leaving at 3 they suddenly came in with his discharge papers and meds! So we suddenly had to pack quick and get him to the car so I could get to the school to pick up Jack and Jill from school who are here overnight tonight and tomorrow night.
He is still on four pain meds and sleeping pills. When he is on them he gets very dopey and can't remember things happening. He has times like tonight where he got up for a couple of hours and was pottering about the house, because it is more comfortable than sitting still alot. Then he lays down and is almost un-rousable.
Thank you for all the prayer support, emails, comments and general love and encouragement from everyone! You have all been such a blessing these past few days!
Please continue to pray as we seek to find the right treatment to keep Dh's back healthy from here on out. We are looking into Chiropractors and Ostiopaths as well as herbal suppliments for health of his nerves and muscles. We need a real wisdom to know the right way to proceed. He will also be under the consultant and the Physio department as well, so we need to work in conjunction with them.
Most of all we pray that God will touch his back and bring a swift healing. He is itching to return to work! I'm having to hide the keys to his car and 'threaten' him if he tries to go to work tomorrow as he has said! He can barely stand straight and he wants to go into work. If he did, he would probably forget where he was ten minutes later with the tablets he is on! LOL! I need patience and wisdom to know how and when to let him mobilise without doing himself a damage.
Thanks again for being such good friends! |

Will carry on praying that the Lord will help take away the pain - prayer works wonders (especially those of children!).
God bless,
