It is easy to dodge our responsibilities,

Plan ahead-it wasn't raining

Before I married and had children I found it easy to be devoted to God. I could spend hours in the Bible, prayer and meditation. It was not possible with my family since all of my time was spent with them. I felt like I was moving away from God. Then God showed me the way to Him was through my family. I learned the love of God, sacrifices, self disipline, trust, etc. Now I pray with them, in front of them and around them continually. Because of this they are growing spiritually and learning the way which they should go so they will not depart from it. Our lives are always changing but God stays the same. He's teaching us to teach our children well. We must trust His Word to follow it.

Devoted

The Lord is my Shepherd,

I shall not want.

He leads me and guides me,

All the day long.

When I'm sad and discouraged,

He gives me strength to go on.

When trials come,

I turn to Him.

He said He'd go with me,

All the way to the end.

He is my friend.

In Him I abide.

He walks with me,

Through the storms of life.

When heartaches come,

He see's me through.

The Lord is my Shepherd,

Is He your Shepherd too!

Held a prisoner by my sin,

The battle raging deep within.

Searching everywhere to find,

No peace and comfort for the mind.

But, when everything has failed,

To calm the temptest that did roll.

Jehovah God did prevail,

And brought deliverance to my soul.

Though storms are raging all around,

You know I stand on solid ground.

So rejected and abused,

The corner stone has not been moved.

I've got a right to rejoice,

for I know Him as my Lord!

And He's walking to and fro,

Through the windows of my soul.

Through these windows you will see,

Reassurance for my needs.

If you look closer you will find,

Sweet peace and comfort for the mind.

I'm bound for Heaven and not Hell,

Amazing Grace has prevailed.

Now He's walking to and fro,

Through the windows of my soul.

I must rise up early,

early I will call upon the Lord!

My hands are lifted up with glee,

as I cry out to Him even more!

I praise Him for His Righteousness,

for His mercy and His Grace.

My heart crys out for a rest,

as tears are flowing down my face.

Lord, I'm trying with all my heart,

to teach my children all Thy ways.

So when they grow older they will not depart

from Thy Commandments all their days.

I'm just a HomeSchooling Mom,

nothing special as You can see.

Down on my knees, I'm looking for a calm,

Please, help me Lord, this is my plea!

O'Lord, prepare me for this day,

to be loving but firm, strong and kind.

To have God fearing children will be my pay,

Rooted and grounded in Thy Word, they will not decline!

Thank You, Lord for answering my prayer,

for now I know I'll never be in despair.

With Christ in me, I am prepared,

to be a HomeSchooling Mom this day through prayer!

To all HomeSchooling Mom's,

spend time in the mornings with the Master.

Start your day with hands raised and open palms,

then you will be ready for all disaster!
