At Least I'm Not a Slacker Mom...

I had to do the Slacker Mom Quiz, just to make sure I really am not a slacker.  Some days it sure looks like it around here…uh, like today.  And here are my results:

Your quiz score makes you: Zen Mom
How do you do it? Even when explosions are all around, you are able to take a deep cleansing breath and chant your mantra "this too shall pass." You are a calming influence on your kids in a hectic world.

Well, I don’t think so! I am not a follower of any eastern religion, unless it happens to be that of a Christian in China or Indonesia. And I don’t have a mantra, but I do have a Bible that says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6,7.  In the world’s estimation, peace and contentment could never be attributed to my Saviour.  Why didn’t the Slacker Mom people say something like, “You must be a believer in Christ.  You have his peace in your heart and in your home, even when things are chaotic.”  It’s because then they would have to admit he is real.  And if he is real, then he is who he claimed to be, and that would mean he is God, and they are accountable to him. Now, that would really cramp their style! No, I’m not a Zen mom.  I’m a Bible-believing, blood-bought, born-again, abundantly blessed mom. Why did I even want to know???

Hallelujah! (See me rising out of my seat and raising my hand in victory). Yes, this sounds like a victory cry, or a march into battle in the enemies territory. How encouraging to KNOW who we are!

It said I was a zen mom too. I agree with you though.
