I'm In It For The Long Haul

Saturday, April 15, 2006 - Curriculum -- Which Should I Use?

This is by far the most common question I get from new home schoolers.  And it should be, but it shouldn't be the first question a home schooler asks.  Here are a list of questions I hear or  I think should be asked by home schoolers:

Is homeschooling right for my family?

What are the laws I must follow when I home school my kids?

What is my child's learning style?

What is my teaching style?

What curriculum should I use?

I hope to answer all these questions in the next few posts.  Thursday (April 20th) is our next Homeschooling 101 meeting here in East Texas.  We will be discussing the last 3 questions on the list.

About Me

Eighteen years after sitting my 5 year old down for his first day of school, we're still at it. We've graduated 2 and have one ready to graduate this year. Three more are working slow and steady at learning what they need to know to be the kind of adults God wants them to be.
