Back to the Present? A More Current Entry (September 26)

I'm going to continue to work on catching up on this summer's fun, but wanted to take a break for a moment and actually post something a little more up to date.

We (the boys and I, Grandma, Aunt Melissa, and baby cousin Josh) took a weekend trip to Omaha to visit the zoo a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time, as always. It's our favorite road trip, and we usually come home saying that we need to start making the drive twice a year instead of just once.

Anyway, in the last three weeks, I have only found time to crop, fix, and upload the pictures from day one of our two day journey, but I wanted to post them before too much more time slipped away from me.

First stop, Desert Dome -

"James' ducks" - of all the animals in the zoo, my silly littlest boy chose these with which to fall in love. He quickly became quite attached to these three birds and wasn't happy about leaving them behind!

The rainforest was James' favorite - monkeys and birds in one place!
