Happy Birthday Sabby
Hello Everyone,
As you can tell by the title of my entry, Today is my Babies Birthday. Today, Sarah (aka--dixiefiddler, Sabby, Saronie Baby, Pocahonie) is 18 years old. My how does the time fly. It seems like she was just born yesterday. Oh the joy on her Daddy's face when the nurse placed Sarah in his arms. She was a blessing as a baby and she is even more of a blessing to me now. She is not only beautiful, but is very talented. She plays the violin and has won numerous awards and our family is very proud of her. Sarah is one of the kindest, most honest and loving young ladies around. She loves her family and we all adore her. She is the "baby" of the family, but is such a young lady. She does not get in a hurry for nobody or nothing and once Sarah becomes your friend, you have a friend for life. She still kisses her "Mommy" before going to bed each night and God has put in her heart such a love for children that she would like 15 of them when she gets married. Her sister, Jordan is her best friend and they always said that they're going to have to marry brothers or best friends, cause they are going to live next door to each other when they get married, actually they said that their houses are going to have to be connected. I'm sure that I could go on and on about my baby, but I'll have to stop right here for now. I do thank each one you for your prayers, this is Sarah's first birthday without her Daddy, I truly believe that The Lord will allow her Daddy to send down a kiss just for her on her birthday. Awww sha, I could just pinch those cheeks, I'm sure I did a time or two or a million, I just absolutely loved those pictures and the post. Yes we all know that Sabby is the baby and we ALL love her!

I love the pictures. Some of them I was gonna use but my computer wouldn't let me. I pray that today is a blessed day for her and you and Jordan. I believe that God will let dad come down and give her a kiss. Love you.

My 'baby' will be 18 in March. Yes...where DOES that time go? I'm glad to hear that someone else's "big kids" still call them "Mommy" - mine do too and they're 20 and 17 years old! ;-) I'm GLAD I'm still their Mommy and my hubbie is till Daddy. I called my father Daddy until he died when I was 40 years old. I loved the familiararity of it.
It's so great that your girls want to stay together like that! I have a very good friend (who also homeschools) and she and her sister and their families bought 5 acres, share a driveway that splits when it goes to the houses and their houses are MIRROR IMAGES of each other! It's a VERY AWESOME set up!!
I have to say that 'envy' (of course, not in a hateful way) the relationships of my girls w/each other - and other sisters. I am a surviving twin, so I have lived my life w/an ache for my sister, as all I have is an older brother. I love him, but it's not the same. Especially since he's not a Christian and has been married 5 times and - I'm sorry to say - I don't even remember what # the woman he's currently livin with is. Very sad.
Anyway...hope she had a great birthday!

What a beautiful young woman. I know you're very proud of her, Josephine.
I think that it is wonderful that she and her sister are so close. I desire that my two girls would be closer (they're two years apart), seems like they bicker so much. I'm glad your girl's relationship is so strong and I know it does your heart good.

I am so sad I missed this post on Sarah's birthday, but I am so happy to have it fresh and new to read today! What a joy. I feel like I am still celebrating her birthday with you all!!
I love you gals. I know this was so very hard, and you will never move on (and I never expect you to), but I hope you are living day to day in the Lord and finding His joy in all things!
We miss you, and I am glad to read that Sarah is a friend for life, because we all need that, and since you all are the Dixon's friends, well, you are all kinda' stuck with us now!
