and bought a few things that I've been wanting for a long while! I went to Barnes and Noble and purchased Portable Professor, Of Sorcerers and Men, Tolkien and the Roots of Modern Fantasy Literature. Its a CD course that goes indepth into my favorite topic. I also purchased the Hobbit, on CD. My next and last two purchases where J.R.R. Tolkien, a biography by Humphrey Carpenter and The Narnian, The Life and Imagination of C.S. Lewis, by Alan Jacobs.

These items are really for me. I am fascinated by these two great authors. I plan to do an independant study on both of them and I'm praying that I can get my ds to love them also. I mean, he loves the stories, but I want him to love the reasons for the stories, the authors, ykwim?  Anyway, I anticipate a long and cozy winter of reading and listening to the books on CD's I purchased and got from the library!

I've always wished I could have known C. S. Lewis. It seems like it would have been so cool to go to school in that thinking atmosphere. Thanks for your visit.
