WhereforartthouNarnia?!

We havent been to Narnia much this week. Oh, we've schooled, but we just havent been to Narnia. Not exactly, that is. Yesterday we DID listent to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.  I checked out the Focus On The Family Radio Theatere version last week and so we listened to it on our way to Barnes and Noble. I LOVE this particular version because its just like radio theathere. It has a full cast, music and sound affects, real British accents and all! Boy can they make a meal of fresh fried fish and boiled potatoes sound scrumptuous! The first time I listened to it, we were going into Savannah for the day. It was cold and rainy and perfect for a nice drive in the twilight. But when I got home, I wanted FRESH fried fish and boiled potatoes!

Ds has a mania for Turkish delight. I lucked up on a box at T.J. Maxx a few weeks ago. I bought it one evening and by the next day, it was GONE. I cant believe he at the whole thing... Now, everytime we pass the store, he wants to look inside to see if they got another shipment!

Its amazing how things are creeping into our being while listening and reading this series. Praise God its all GOOD things!

Tomorrow I plan to get us back on schedule, assuming ds isnt sick. He got his flu shot today, well, not the shot, but the LAV (inhaled). I know when I took it, I was out of it for about a day. He's doing good now, but we'll see after tonight. If he's under, then it will be reading and listening to the story on CD, with light math work.

Just found your blog and thought i'd say hello. We are Narnia fans too. The children have two favorite things as rewards--to ride the four-wheeler and to watch The Lion, The Witch , and the Wardrobe. We haven't heard the Focus on the Family version, but we love their Adventures in Odyssey series. We may try those [radio theatre] soon.

I'm so glad your here! All is right with the world and I mean that. You've been apart of my internet life for so long that it seems strange and a little lonely when your absent.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cough. I will pray for healing! Three weeks is a long time to hold on to it, but I had a cough that lasted about that long back in September I believe. I KNOW how troublesome it can be!
