I'm not kidding, and I didn't make this up. In an article in the New York Times by the same name, animals are dying because it rains too much in the jungle for them to go get food.
I'm not a scientist, never claimed to be, and really hated it in school, but I just can't help but notice a couple things.
1. In school I learned that the rain forests were being destroyed and thus monkeys and other creatures were dying be casue their homes were destroyed. Now, I learn that the rain forest kills its own inhabitants. Go figure.
2. In school I learned that evolutionary natural selection kept the best specimens, and the others died. But now saving these monkeys from natural selection is a problem that occupies space in a world-famous newspaper known for its support for evolution.
3. I have a sick feeling that sooner or later people who drive SUVS, use hairspray, eat food from a regular grocery store are monkey killers.
