Mommy dont't cry

Thats the name of the song that I wrote not too long ago...its still a work in progress, ...But its not just any old song, I wrote it on a subject that most people are not comfortable talking about...a subject that some people dont want to face the reality of...Abortion.

Mommy dont' cry

A little girl sitting by the window watching the rain drive against the pane

And her mom walks into her bedroom with a tear stained face

the purple is starting to show on her

She tried to hide it with the makeup

Her daddy slams the door and walks out of her life

He never aid "I love you" or "goodbye"

Chorus 1

This little girl needs to know something called love she needs to know theres something better, something more to her life

Whos gonna show her, whos gonna tell her, before she makes a mistake

and takes someone's life

The same girl 10 years later has a choice to make times getting nearer

Life or death is in her hands she says forgive me God and its over

blood is shed a new life is dead she cries out in pain, the blood of her unborn child is on her head

but the baby s in heaven with Jesus shes told

She cries "forgive me God, for this life that I took"

Chorus 2

Mommy dont cry, I'm in heaven now

I wish you could see Jesus hes great

Dont worry mommy I'm ok The angels here are taking care of me

Dont have to ask mommy I already know

Yes, I forgive you mommy, I love you so

Shes no little girl now, shes all grown up

She has a family all her own

Before she knew it she was called gramma

and gave advice to a young girl just like her

"choose life not death" is what she said

"You'll regret it till you die, I made that mistake I didnt choose life

and an innocent child had to die"

Chorus 2

Mommy dont cry I'm in heaven now

I wish you could see Jesus hes great

Dont worry mommy i'm ok

the angels here are taking care of me

Dont have to ask mommy I already know

Yes, I forgive you mommy, I love you so

Gramma turned 90, but life was no more, she went to heaven last Sunday,

or so I was told. Don't cry tears of grief, for she is now not old, she's holding her baby in her arms right now. And this is what the child told

Chorus 3

mommy dont cry you're in heaven by my side

You see Jesus isnt he great

dont worry mommy we'll be ok

our home is just over the hill

You're already forgiven didnt you know

look at the gold streets mommy, and the crystal sea

This is our new home mommy,

You dont have to worry mommy,

You're with me.

Well, thats it...so far...give me any insight on what you think could change...

I like your lyrics! They are really neat. Thats a subject that really hits close tohome for me. My freshman yr, I went to this lecture/ training thing with my mom, and a couple other girls. It was for a crisis pregnancy center. So after hearing christian perspectives on first hand experiences, this crisis is really near and dear to my heart. Unfortunately you haveto be 18 to volunteer at the centers. but over the summer a couple yrs ago we held a night for moms and daughters to come and knit or chrochet at our house and we all made blankets for the center. it was really neat to beable to be able to contribute to a great orginization.

I love your christmas count down! I love christmas!!! haha, this comment is getting really long so I'll stop now, :)

I hope to hear from you soon!

you don't have to change it but I think it would make it beter if you made some changes kind of like these:

A little girl sitting by the window watching the rain drive against the window pane
Her mom walks in with a face tear stained
The purple is starting to show on her face
She tried to hide it with the makeup, but her efforts did no good
Her daddy slams the front door and walks out of her life
He never even said "I love you" or "goodbye"

Chorus 1
This little girl needs to know something called love she needs to know there’s something better, something more to her life
Who's gonna show her, who's gonna tell her, before she makes a mistake
and takes someone's life
The same girl 10 years later has a choice to make as the times getting nearer
Life or death is in her hands she says forgive me God and its over
blood is shed a new life is dead and she cries out in pain,
the blood of her unborn child is on her head.
but the baby s in heaven with Jesus she's told
She cries "forgive me God, for this life that I took"

Chorus 2
Mommy don't cry, I'm in heaven now
I wish you could see Jesus, he's great
Don’t worry mommy, I'm ok. The angels watching over me
You don’t have to ask mommy, I already know
Yes, I forgive you mommy, I love you so
She’s no little girl now, she’s all grown up
She has a family all her own
Before she knew it, she was called gramma
and gave advice to a young girl just like her
"choose life not death" is what she said
"You'll regret it till you die, I made that mistake I didn’t choose life
and an innocent child had to die"

Chorus 2
Mommy don’t cry I'm in heaven now
I wish you could see Jesus, oh he’s great
Don’t worry mommy I'm ok
the angels watching over me
Don’t have to ask mommy I already know
Yes, I forgive you mommy, I love you so
Gramma turned 90, but her life was no more, she went to heaven last Sunday,
or so I was told. Don't cry tears of grief, for now she is not old,
she's holding her baby in her arms right now.
And this is what the child told

Chorus 3
mommy don’t cry you're here in heaven by my side
You see, Jesus isn’t he great?
don’t worry mommy we'll be ok
our home is just over that hill
You're already forgiven didn’t you know
look at the gold streets mommy, and the crystal sea
This is our new home mommy,
You don’t have to worry mommy,
You're with me.

I guess, I like this song to much! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
