I have been reading thru the New Testiment, and I am in 2 Timothy right now... I was reading last night and I came across some very true verses...
In 2 Timothy 2:20-22 it says
But in a great house there are not only vessels of Gold and Silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some for Honor and some for dishonor Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, He will be a vessel of Honor, Sanctified (Holy-Set apart) and useful for the Master, Prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but Pursue Righteousness, Faith, Love, and Peace with those who call on the Lord out of a Pure Heart.
Paul tells us to FLEE youthful Lusts, That can be anything from wanting your friend's car, to not giving tithe, to looking at a girl or guy the wrong way, thinking wrong things...sexual immorality...use your imagination...It does Not say to stick around and see what happens...it says Flee...RUN AWAY, Leave...
In Romans 13:14 it says But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make NO Provision for the flesh to fulfill it's lusts.
Now, it does not say that it will be easy...because naturally we want to stick around "just to see what happens". But God gives us strength to do whats right...*Phillippians 4:13~I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me. ALL things...not some things...not "the things that only I WANT to do" But ALL things.
So...today, maybe you are struggling with some type of sin in your life...maybe it's jealously, or maybe its sexual immorality, or maybe its a girl or guy in your life that is pulling you down... God says to FLEE...you can do it, You can do ALL things thru Christ who strengthen you.

Hey guys! We got in last night...er...this morning from Ohio... We actually got in at about 12:30am... It was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed being able to see all of the family, I have not been able to see them in probably 4 or 5 years. So it was nice being able to see them... But I saw a lot of horses, and every horse reminded me of Kai...man did I miss her! I guess thats saying something huh!
Oh...I found this over the internet!
You know you're a horse lover when...
You accessorize your hair with hay pieces.
-You examine every piece of rope or twine for it's halter potential. -You think a vacation is spending a long weekend in front of a horse trailer by a dusty arena. -You take your children's temperture and think 102 degrees F is normal. -You spend more money on horseshoes than your own shoes -You always keep sugarcubes, carrots, and apples in your fridge. -You prefer the smell of stable cologne. -You sleep with your boots on and count horses to fall asleep. -Instead of someone directions for "left" or "right" you tell them "gee" or "haw" -You still have your childhood horse statues in your bedroom. -Your favorite outfit is made of leather and includes whips and spurs. -You spend more time at the feed store than the grocery store. - You talk to your horse more than you talk to your spouse. - You are totally grossed out by human hair in the sink or tub,
but don't mind horse hair in your washer, on your clothes, in your food... - You know you're a horse AND dog person when you don't mind throwing frozen manure balls for the barn's goldie to fetch! - Someone says, "does anyone have a screwdriver?" and you hand them a hoofpick. - The real estate agent asks what kind of house you are looking for and you say "More than six acres". - You find yourself analyzing leg and foot conformation on your friends, and thinking how corrective shoeing could improve their way of going. - You run your tongue over your back molars and idly wonder if they need to be floated. (If a horses teeth do not wear evenly, they will have to be floated (filed) to restore a good grinding surface.) - You can find your boots in the dark by the manure aroma. - You drive up in the yard, get out of the car and inhale the perfume of the manure pile. - You don't notice the barn smells on your clothing and wonder why "regular" folks are sniffing the air. - Your first sign of spring is not seeing a robin, but seeing a fly. - You go to the gas station and ask the attendant to check the "off hind" (and you know you're in horse country when the young man immediantly walks to the right rear tire!) - Your car is the only one in the company parking lot that has an inch of dust INSIDE and when you open the door, a swarm of flies emerges. - Your mother has a run in the bottom of her hose and you tell her she has a split hoof. - You teach your little brother to skip by getting him to "canter", then "switch leads" until he's doing one-tempi flying changes (skipping!) - Your truck looks like a bomb exploded in a tack shop. - When your husband walks into the bedroom and sees you wearing your underwear and tall black boots and his only comment is "Oh, did the new boots finally arrive?" - Your father gets worried when he overhears you talking to a friend: "And he had the cutest butt! I happended to be behind him for a while, and practically couldn't take my eyes off his butt. And he had really nice legs, and a real strong back, and nice shoulders, and *such* a pretty face! He came over to say hello once. What a handsome guy!" When you tell him that you were talking about a horse, he's not sure whether to be reassured of get even more worried. :-) - Your motto is "baling twine will fix anything". HAHAHAHA
![]() Sorry! That just amuses me! Because Most of those are true for me! |

Hey ya'll...Well, we leave tomorrow after noon for Ohio, and I have not even stepped foot into my closet...and my hands have not touched my suitcase... if fact, I still have laundry to do before I can even begin to pack... But it's all good...we are not leaving till tomorrow afternoon...so I have PLENTY of time!
Today was really exciting! My boss came over to the barn and we finally taught Kai to lounge/drive...boy...I did not realize what kind of attitude she had! At first her attitude was like *wow...you REALLY want me to WORK* translated-pinning her ears back and aiming her butt for your face...next it was *well...I guess I better do it or I am gonna get in trouble...even if I stop she's just gonna make me go again* translated-the occasional buck, or cow-kick, but otherwise doing well. and then when asked to go the opposite direction her attitude was the same as the first time... and then when we were tryingto establish leadership her sttitude was *no way...she caint want leadership,...I am the one ruling the ship here...* translated-pinning her ears, and still aiming her rear legs for your face. And then once she realized that we were not backing down, and that we WILL be the leader...she calmed down and her attitude was *oh, ok...I'd better listen or she's gonna make me work all day long* Well...the outcome was a horse who has a better understanding of human leadership and that she is no longer the one running the show...she has to work...not me...and she has to do what I say or I will just keep at it till she does...so either way I win! I'm gonna try to lounge her again tomorrw...most horses will test you even harder the second time just to see if you are really serious...so tomorow may be worse than today, and it may be better...who knows! I guess we will find out tomorrow!
Anyway...does anyone like my new avitar??? I love it! I'm not gonna tell you what it is...you have to look at it to know!
Anyway...ummm theres nothing else to talk about...why don't ya'll comment me and give me different subjects to talk about! and maybe I will talk about it! Well, I guess I better go and start packing! till I get back...lata! |

Well Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I still have not gone Christmas shopping... But thats beside the point!
Wow! it is 6 days away! and I haven't even began packing for our Ohio trip! Yup...you guessed it...we are going to Ohio for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving literally means "to give thanks"... but to who...and for what?
The holiday origonated because our forefathers gave thanks to God for the safe arrival and settlement in the beginning of our good ol' USA. Yeah, the journey was hard, and many people died...but they did finally get here...and even when they got here it was hard...but they were thankful that they had finally made it, and could now worship God the way they wanted to. But over the years Thanksgiving became just a day that involved a lot of food that you could fill up on until you became so sick you could hardly move for fear of throwing up.
So...Lets give thanks to God this week
Where do you begin?...At The Cross |

this is a true story...my youth pastor showed us the DVD of this story,
and I thought everyone on here would really be encouraged by it! It was a beautiful morning that day...the sun was shining, and there was not a cloud in the sky... My son had just awoken from his sleep, and I felt like going for a walk... I decided to have some one on one time with my son, and left my wife as she was still sleeping. When we started out, the day was absolutly beautiful...What could go wrong I thought! we were about half way around the lake, when clouds began to form in the sky, and rain was not far away. before we had gone 5 more minutes, it began to rain...it was the kind of rain that drenches you from heads to toe in a matter of minutes...the kind that cakes your body. I put the hood of my son's jacket over his head, and I put my hood over my head as well. What I did not know was that my son had taken his hood off...it began to pour rain, and my son's quiet whimpers became screams. We were about 2 miles from home, and my son was shrieking...so I stopped, and I took my son out of the backpack that I had him in...I wrapped him in my arms and clutched him as tightly as I could to my chest so that he could hear my heart beat. And I whispered repeatedly to him "It's gonna be okay buddy, we are going to make it" "I love you" " we are gonna make it" "it's gonna be okay" "daddy's right here" "I love you" "we're gonna make it" We got back home safe and sound. but that was a moment in time that I will never forget...That is one of my favorite memories of my son and I bonding... Now, imagine You are my son, and God is me... And your life seems perfect...theres not a cloud in the sky, and God is walking with you... and then it starts to rain...the worries of this world is pouring down, and you are going thru one of the scariest trials of your life... You are drenched to the bone, and you are confused and scared, you don't know whats going on, and you are crying out to God. And God picks you up and clutches you tight to his chest, and you can hear his heart beating... and he repeats to you "it's ok, we're gonna make it" " I love you" "I'm right here" "we're gonna get thru this together" "we're gonna make it" "we're gonna make it" Are you going thru one of the worst trials of your spiritual walk? are you feeling drowned, and drenched...are you scared and confused? God is right there...in fact he is carrying you...saying "It's ok, we're gonna make it", "I love you" "we're gonna make it" Now, my son and I had no shelter to run into...I was my son's shelter...There was no way we could have gone around the rain...there was no way we could have avoided the storm...we had to go thru it... I knew that we were gonna be okay...but my son didn't, He had no idea what was going on...all he could see was the rain, and thunder, and lightning, and all he could feel was the cold... But I knew that we were gonna make it...I knew we were gonna be okay. God knows the bigger picture...He knows that you are going to get thru it...he knows that it's gonna be okay... are you gonna trust Him? "it's gonna be okay, we're gonna make it" "I love you" "we're gonna make it" "daddys here" "we're gonna make it" "daddys here" "we're gonna make it" |

Guess what! I rode my horse! She did so well...we are still working on turning, and going foward...But she has stopping down to a pat! Anyway, sorry I have not commented anyone recently...or blogged for that matter! Anyway... I am so excited !!! My youth group is putting on a youth rally, and we are having youth groups from all over Lynchburg coming... We had to reserve our church's main sanctuary because so far we have heard that over 200 people are planning on coming! Good thing 200 only fills like 1/4 of the sanctuary!
Anyway, I am really excited about that!
Yesterday We went to a pizza resturaunt called "CiCi's" I don't know if you all have them...I know that Ga, and Va have them...but I don't know about any place else... Anyway, so we were sitting there after we had finished eating...and you know the bus girl/boy that comes to collect the dirty dishes...well James and I decided that we wanted to help the bus girl clean the dirty tables... So I went up to her and asked her if we could help her... and she replied "No Habla Espanol" ME: crap... Bus Girl: points to an english speaking person ME: no...uh...*how do you say help?* Bus Girl: goes to do the rest of her tables ME:I knew I should have listened in Spanish ME:starts clearing tables Bus Girl:look of surprise, and greatfulness
That was fun! I was able to show her God's love in a practical way...
So...guess what guys and gals...my challenge to you today is .... Find a practical way to help or serve others, and show them the love of Christ.
So many people hate "Christians" because we tend to be just like anyone else...and then we put on a mask on Sundays and then the rest of the week...we live like the world... Yes, homeschoolers do it too... So...let me know what you did, and how it went over! You could do something as simple as wash someone's windshield at a gas station... or clean a public bathroom... or put snacks together and go to the local offices and hand out snacks for them...
Remember you are not doing this for you, or anyone else...you are just showing them God's love... and if they ask if they can give you a tip...say NO! and tell them that this is just your practical way of showing God's love. NO STRINGS ATTATCHED

I was born into a Christian home, My dad became a pastor to the deaf and hearing impaired when I was 7. I was saved when I was 11 while in youth group... But no REAL growth began until I was 15...Thru the help of a dear friend and mentor, I grew in my walk with the Lord, I developed a passion for Christ...But it wasn't full fledged...It was a moderate passion. I wanted to grow...yes, I wanted to Please the Lord...yes, I wanted to learn more...yes. But there was something missing...I was not surrendering all... There was still a part of me that wanted to rebell...to have something that I could call MINE... I knew that in order to fully surrender, I had to give up something...it was called "self". Don't get me wrong...I still struggle with my flesh...
But because of "self" I began to fall in my spiritual walk, I stopped reading my Bible, I stopped praying, I stopped growing...and I was miserable. Yet Still, I held onto "self"...I lived for "self", Everything was done for "self"...nobody else mattered other than "self".
But I still put on a face of being a perfect Chrsitian (fooling everyone, including myself) I put on an act of having everything together, and being great! But infact...I was far from the "perfect Christian"...nothing about me was or is great, and nothing was together...everything was falling apart.
And I was running...running from God. Yet no matter how far I ran God still called...and I still heard...but I did not answer. Everyday for close to a year I heard God's voice...I heard Him whisper across my soul... "Return to your first love beloved, return" "come home beloved, come home" "my precious daughter, let me take your burden"
Yet I still hardened my heart and refused to listen... Occasionally I would read my Bible...but it was out of duty, and not simple obedience. And one day I came across this chapter...
Jeremiah 3:1-25 1 If a man divorces a woman
6 During the reign of King Josiah, the L
11 Then the L O Israel, my faithless people, 14 Return home, you wayward children, 16 And when your land is once more filled with people, says the L 19 I thought to myself, 21 Voices are heard high on the windswept mountains, 22 My wayward children, says the L Yes, were coming, the people reply,
Thats all that had to happen...I was ripe for the picking...I was ready to be broken... And sure, enough God broke me. For so long, I had played the role of a harlot...Married to God, and dating the world... I had trashed the temple of God (my body) with my pride, and the little something called "self". For so long I avoided God...because I was afraid. I was afraid things were going to change...and they did...and I was afraid that God was going to ask me to do something that I did not want to do... and he did... In fact, He called me to trust...and wait. Trust in what?...God Wait for what?...God
So this rebellious, selfish, untrusting, unfaithful, Child of God came back into the throne room of Christ. And He is turning me into His humble servant. I still have so much to learn, and Surrender is not a one time thing. Surrender is daily...hourly, even minute by minute. But I'll continue to surrender, and I'll continue to learn, and I'll continue to let Jesus take the wheel.

You know...Having a truck would be pretty nice! I have to go and pick up hay tomorrow from Bedford and I have to have a truck because there is no way I will be able to fit 10 bales of hay into my little Ford Tuarus (1996 model) I can barely fit 5 people! Anyway...I was going to get a truck for a while there, but then I realized that not only would it get terrible milage while it is NOT pulling around a trailer, or hauling hay...but it would also get VERY TERRIBLE milage WHILE PULLING a trailer or hauling hay! Thankfully, my uncle owns 2 trucks, and I am allowed to borrow them! So thats a blessing in itself! Sorry for not commenting on anyone's blog recently! Thanks for all the comments though...I will eventually comment everyone back...it'll just take some time! thanks for being patient with me! here are some good blogs to look at! Isnt it so weird how one week will be totally boring, and you have nothing to do, and then another week will be totally hectic and you have no time to do anything! Thats what this week, and last week is like! This week I have tons I have to do... For example...
Monday~ go to the bank, deposit check-go to bedford and get horse food- go to Aylors and get Hay-pick up the van from dad's work, and leave the car with dad- go back and pick up the car, and leave the van-go to wal-mart and get gold fish, and coolant for the car before it explodes-come home-do zones, and chores-do school-put Jeremiah to bed-baby sit kids-make sure dad checks the car for leaks in the coolant system
Tuesday~ feed Kai, pick up more hay- school- Meet youth leader at coffee shoppe at 6pm- practice piano-wash clothes-do chores-
Wednesday~ co-op(9:30am-2:30pm)*somehow do some school in between those times*-lunch-drama practice-piano lessons(3:00pm-5:30pm)-church(6:15pm-8:00pm)-dinner with the youth group-home(10:00pm)
Thursday~FREE!...except for school
Friday~work from 10-6- go feed Kai- Meet Renee to do to the Children of the World concert at 7pm-go to the after bowl party (foot ball party)- help clean up- get to Renee's around 2am after cleaning up- SLEEP

And thats not even all of it! Anyway, life is hectic! but God is good...all I can do is rely on him to get me thru a day like today (Monday) I caint get thru it without him...I always tend to mess things up if I do it by myself! |

I know I said that I would post what I had learned from the verse
YESTERDAY, but I did not realize that I had to work yesterday, and then
we had a harvest festival yesterday right after I got home....so I
apologize...and at the moment I do not have time to post much, but I
just wanted to say....sorry! Anyway, yesterday was not bad...I had the work, and then the harvest festival was fun! My family puts it on every year at a place in Evington va...it was tons of fun! *oh, wait, I already said that* Anyway, I have to go, my cell group is in 30 minutes and it takes 30 minutes to get there! Guess what everybody! I am SICK I have the sniffles, and a cough, and a sore throat... And I sneeze every 5 seconds... I've probably sneezed enough times to be dead for a week... Did you know that when you sneeze, all of your bodily functions stop...EVEN YOUR HEART! and so you are basically dead! lol, thats so cool! I think I sneezed like 500,000 times when I was trying to put on my makeup this morning...so a simple 5 minute procedure took 30! By the way, I dont normally wear makeup if I am not going to be going anywhere...I have to go to work at 10am... Thats the reason for the makeup! *achoooo* *sniff* ughhh...my head hurts from all this work!
I was reading this morning in Colossians...I am only in the forst chapter and already I love it and have gotten so much out of it!
Colossians 1:9-11
For this reason, we also, since the day we heard it have NOT CEASED to pray for you. And have asked that you be FILLED with ALL knowledge of God with all wisdom and SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING. That you may walk WORTHY of the Lord, FULLY PLEASING HIM, being fruitful in EVERY good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Being strengthened with ALL might, according to his glorious power, for ALL PATIENCE AND LONGSUFFERING, with JOY.
I have to go, but I will post what I learned tomorrow... I am going to "Scare Mare" tonight with my youth group, and probably will not get back till around midnight!

Kai did so good tonight! Whitney (my best friend) and I worked with her tonight, and Whitney was able to get on her, and ride her around! It was slow, but we finally were able to get on her back and ride around at a walk for a few minutes! And then it started raining...*pout* But she did really well! I first did what we call a "join-up", where I act as a "lead mare" (the leader of her 'herd'...aka 'master', or 'mother') and put pressure on her (keep her moving) until she finally says "ok, I don't want to work anymore, can I please stop" (licking and chewing, dropping her head) and at that point I take all pressure off immediatly (turn my back to her) and she then has a choice, she can either go along with what I want her to do,(signified by following me around) or continue to be rebelious (refuse to follow me around, and goes and does her own thing) If she decides to be submissive then I reward her by petting her, and taking all pressure off...if she decides to be rebellious, then I put the pressure back on, only harder untill she finally gives in...it is really a very emotional...and its not just a lesson, it involves all of your emotions...because horses are VERY sensitive to emotions and feelings and yadayada...
And then I introduced the bridle, and saddle, and she stood perfectly still! We were having some problems a few days ago where she would not stand still when I saddled her up, but I worked with her on it, and she did fantastic today! I did not even have to have a halter on her I just walked up and started to cinch the girth (for you non-horse-people-, it means to make the saddle 'belt' tighter so that the saddle will not slip whne you try to get on) and she stood still! That is just a huge accomplishment for me! of course I did it slow but still! to go from moving around, to dtanding completly still is very cool!
And then Whitney got on...er...half way on...just to get her used to the pressure on her back...and then she put her leg up over her side, and tada was totally on! At first, Kai moved around a little to readjust her weight so that she was balanced, but other than that she did really good. I made her stand there for a sec so that she got used to just standing there and does not take off as soon as you get on...I have been on too many horses that do that and its not very safe! So I do not want her to do that and put others in danger!
And I led her around for a bit (5-10 minutes), and then we stopped... but she did REALLY well! especially considering other horses I have worked with who do not let you on without a fight! Anyway, I thought I would share that with you all, it was so exciting for me! Leave a comment!

Discouragment literally means to be emptied of your courage... And when we as chrsitians get discouraged tend to quit...at least thats what I tend to do! And thats what satan wants us to do... We tend to quit on God, give up on what we were doing...why? Because of discouragment...because maybe we do not see why god is bringing us thru a trial...because we do not see progress after all the work we just put into something...whatever it may be, it is easy to get discouraged... And some people think that it is their God given spiritual gift to critisize, er, voice thier opinion...and whatever comes out of thier mouths seems to hit that button... In Nehemiah 4...Nehemiah and his people are re-building the wall...and thier enemies are trying everything to discourage them, and even attempt to kill them because they do not want the wall to be built... And Nehemiah prays....he gives his burdens to God...yeah, he and others got discouraged...but they gave it to God because they knew that in the end, God was going to bless. God was going to prevail, and bless... So whenever you get discouraged...rely on God, and remember that whatever it is you are going thru, God has a reason, and a plan (Jeremiah 29:11) Give it to God, and He will bless. |
