Nov. 7, 2008 - Thoughts and a prayer request

I've come to realize some things in these past......9 years of homeschooling that are important.

One fact that has become evident to me lately, is that when I made a decision to homeschool, I joined a larger community of people who were pretty special.

Add to that the fact that I am a Christian and participate in Christian homeschool circles, and the involvement goes even deeper.

I have met WONDERFUL people who homeschool, Christian and non-Christian alike. They are all caring, compassionate people....sort of the 'norm' for our genre of people.

Last night I received word that another wife, homeschooling mom and wonderful woman was involved in a terrible car accident.

Today, she is in a coma in hosptial. Initial news like this can be grim, but I believe God can do anything.

Donna has a husband and 6 wonderful children. Last year, she organized a talent show/fundraiser that far surpassed my expectations.

Not that any of us would not be as 'special'......but will you pray with me for Donna?

Thanks for stopping by to visit me on my blog. So glad you did!! I am very sad to hear about your friend Donna and will be praying for her. Can I pass the info on? We will be praying for her today. God is faithful to hear us and give us comfort!

I'm also sorry you missed the contest over at my blog. Candy's ebooks are pure scripture and that is what we need! No frills, just the truth. I know it isn't the same thing, but I'd love to give you one of my ebooks just for being a friend! Either Haircuts For Little Men, or Homeschooling is Our Life (encouragement for relaxed homeschoolers)~ I don't konw if you have either of those yet---I can't remember who does. LOL! Just let me know.

Anyway, blessings to you today, and praying for your friend and her family.

I believe God led me to this request, and I am glad. I seriously was just browsing around; as a homeschooler recently unschooling, I was given a link by another homeschool mom and here I am. Anyway, my heart just goes out to this family and I want you and them to know that this "stranger" is a sister in Christ who will be praying for this situation. Thank you.
