We were part of the Chocolate Co-Op for Hands of a Child co-ops and loved it.

Our Favorite activity was the Chocolate Preferences chart where we got to ask all our favorite relatives and friends what their favorite Chocolate was! I don’t think we got anyone that said they didn’t like chocolate, which comes as no great surprise.
We used a Chocolate scented Marker for all the Brown Items we colored in the unit so it contributes to the study in a different sense.
Because we took part in the Co-op we covered All the Subjects!
In Social Studies (Humanities):
we Learned where chocolate came from and where it is grown now. As well as where the most chocolate is consumed.
We learned that historical figures like Thomas Jefferson were also chocolate fans.
In Health :
We learned the Benefits of eating real chocolate and we learned the dangers of over consumption.
In Math :
we did a word problem Every day and younger children could do the Cocoa tree counting activity.
In Language Arts:
We did Copy work from the Famous Quotes about chocolate and wrote an imaginary Journal about our day as an M&M
There were also a number of Story starters we could have done but chose not to.
The Printables from the Co-op are in the Unit Extender Section of the Hands of a Child Super Member Area so you can benefit from the Co-op as well.
