Have you ever heard of Tod Friel?  He is a Hermaneutics teacher.  Hermaneutics is the study of how to interpret the Bible. Here is a highlight of what I learned from Todd.

God verbally talked to Moses through the burning bush and to many others in that same way.  But today God speaks to His children through the Bible for the Bible is the word of God, and proper interpretation is a must.  For example, Romans 16:16 says " greet one another with a holy kiss" , And 1st Peter 5:14 also says " greet one another with a holy kiss.  But we shouldn't go up to brothers and sisters today and just kiss them.  That was the cultural way of greeting in the first century.  We should take the principle of greeting fellow Christians in holiness and purity and apply it to our culture.  So, that would be a holy hand shake or a holy hug.

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for everything God gives us.  When I think about being thankful I think about salvation through Jesus Christ.  The love of God is amazing to save rebellious sinners.  We deserve hell but he, by His grace, has granted us eternal life.  If that's not a cause for thanks I don't know what is!!!

That's not all.  God's children can be thankful for his tender and gracious care that he extends.  We are in his hands totally, and He will never leave us or forsake us.  He takes extra special care in making sure His children are not spoiled and selfish.  So, he disciplines and this too is something for which we can be thankful.

Most of all, we can be thankful for who God is.  Stop thinking about what God has done and is doing for you for a minute.  Only think about the one who knows all, sees all, and sustains all.  He is the self-existant one; the Great "I AM."  To dwell on the majesty of God is to well up in the soul in worship.  He is amazing!

Thanksgiving is a time when we remember to be thankful , but we should be thakful every day for the grace of God.

What is your idea of Heaven?  Some people think all we will do is just sit there and play harps and sing praises.  That's not what I think.  I think that our eternal state will be a restored  earth and not have any sin, pain, sickness, or death.    

(Revalation 21:1 ) says Now I (John)saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first Heaven and the first earth had passed away.Also there was no more sea.2.Then I John saw the holy city , New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3.And I heard a loud voice from Heaven saying,"Behold,the tabernacle of God is with men,and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them and be they're God. 4.  And God will wipe every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more pain for the former things have passed away. 5. Then he who sat on the throne said "Behold I make all things new."  And he said to me,"Write, for these words are true and faithful."

These verses not only say it will be a new earth, but that God will rule it.

When most people are witnessing they talk about how God is all Love.  They say that because that's what people want to hear , but that's not what they need to hear.  What a person really needs to hear is how they are a sinner and how they will be going to Hell.  All of us deserve Hell but when God died on the cross he forgave his children.   If we really cared that the person we are witnessing to will probably be going to hell we would tell them how they are a sinner and how they need to repent.

If a doctor told a man who had a habit of smoking that he should stop smoking he probably wouldn't , but if a Doctor told a man who smoked that if he didn't stop smoking he would be dead in 6 weeks the person would have a higher presentage of listening to the doctor and stop smoking.

It's the same with a human being if you tell them God is love they aren't going to know what they're doing is bad.  They won't do anything about it , but if you tell them that they're a sinner and in need of a savior and are going in a strait line to hell you have a higher presentage of them listening to you.

Some people believe that we have the Power to choose whether we want God or not and that when we grow tired of him we can give him up .  That's not true that's putting us in front of God! for someone to truly come to God He has to call them and people never lose they're salvation in less it was never true in the beginning.

Well I was thinking today about how many people are going to go to the fires of hell.  they're are so many people that everyone of us Christians( but sinners) could tell about Jesus in every day life.  None of us can be perfect but we can try to do what is right and try to be More like Jesus.  so many people make the bridge to tell somebody about salvation but never cross it.  My Church just finished a series on Sunday night teaching us more about telling people about Christ if you would like to check it out it is the website I gave you in the first post or you can just go to this website at www.wayofthemaster.com or org thank

God is more powerful then mountains!

There are so many beliefs in our world today and only one is right.

I have a question for all of you do you think it matters what you beleive I mean at the day of judgement will it matter? I think it will because the Bible says that on the day of judgement some people are going to say Jesus can't we cast out demons like you and he will say depart from me I never knew you! If I were to say 2+2=5 you'de think I'de gone crazy because even if I am close to the right answer it's still wrong because everybody knows that 2+2=4.I think that it is best know what God truly meant when he wrote the Bible because know madder how much faith you have you are still wrong and even though we can never be perfect we should try to think like Jesus, and do like Jesus as much as possible!
