Epic Ride!

I just got back from one of the most incredible moutain bike rides I have ever done!

Four of us went up to Soda Springs area and rode the "Hole in the Ground" trail.  Man that is one crazy technical trail!

The loop that we rode took us about four hours to complete.  It was definately the most incredibly technical trail that I have EVER ridden!  Lots of climbing through rock gardens and switchbacks, and lots of fast desending through (insane) rock gardens (there were several big drop offs) and tight switchbacks (one of them really snuck up on you and it was a pretty good drop if you missed it! :) )

You know though, it's scary how much fitness you can loose over one summer!  I was really wiped after some of the climbs!

The best part of the trail was near the end.  It was a short connector trail (it cut off a loop from a private road)  The trail had stairs all the way down!  They were about 8 plus inches tall, and they were so close together that you didnt really have room to stop your bike on the level in between!  So you had to just hang on, try and control your speed, and pray as you went down!  But we all made it down them okay and had a blast! :)

So now I am sitting here trying not to fall asleep while I type.  But I had so much fun!  It was all worth it! :)

Sounds like so much fun, glad you were able to enjoy that and make an incredible memory with some of your friends. Congratulations for making it on such a crazy ride.

Caillen says he saw you today and said you were jealous of his hair, well he gets a haircut tomorrow! :)

Bekka is suppose to call you about the swing dance, has she called yet?
